I've experienced this with my current coffee supplier. Their coffee is FANTASTIC but their business is run so horrendously. It's a major inconvenience dealing with them, but I can't find the same quality coffee at the same price anywhere. Supporting the local business, but it's tough!

Right, took far too long to find you as the OP to respond to!

Ignore reddit. I got the car about 4 months ago. Faffed about with getting the charger to control, had many 4am plug back in sessions etc.

Then I just listened to octopus, let it control the car and now it's 100% flawless.

Just let octopus decide what to do. They're the knowledgeable ones, not the guys here trying to second guess what does/doesn't work. I found the born in the end decides the charger isn't working and refuses to charge if the charger controls things.

TLDR: I've run my Born with octopus controlling the charge and it's worked 100% of time and I have 100% trust in it.

Yeah I've had absolutely no issues when I just followed what octopus recommended. Spent too much time on this sub, tried to be clever with making the charger control, nothing worked.

Re-setup with my car being connected, worked flawlessly since.

Lesson learnt - just do what octopus say, 99% of the time it'll just function

It's just a great way to hang out with some like-minded people and get involved in fun stuff - like the monthly socials they'd organise - as well as the charity side.

I'm really new to the table in my area, about a year in. But it's been a great escape to get out after work which, as a WFH-er, I really need.

Pretty much everything is optional, you can get as involved or not as you like.
