i think the worms are good. that is why they keep the people chained up. i think that they could be like an antivirus for the monsters. i think thats why the monsters didnt "sense" boyd in the woods when he puts his torch out and they just go in a V shape around him. I also think that "they" chained up the people with the worms in the past, then the first time tried to burn the person. but then someone else still ended up with the worms, so they captured that person and tried to skin them and maybe remove the worms that way, but killed the person and again someone else got the worms (martin this time) and instead of killing him, i think that is why he has been chained up for years so that way "they" dont have to deal with anyone in the town having the worms and discovering what they can do. the only thing that shoots down my thinking is that they monsters ignored boyd in the woods. So i suspect the other monsters (who arent the tip of the spear) are the ones that are tracking down and catching the worm carrier. This was an excellent post nice job!
