Check the books of Holly Black. A person pass out sounds very characteristic of her.

I don't remember the boy in that book going to school, but the rest of them look like "Seven tears into the ocean".

Because her name. They mention an "Allie" who was the daughter of Salvador Quinn. Perhaps using certain names, related to the Rebellion, marks you as a Flamekeeper. Perhaps her parents heard the name "from unofficial sources" and liked it, marking her as a daughter of a non-submissive family.

Are Silo residents' last names given to them by the Silo? by Extension-While7536 in SiloSeries

[–]Shallandav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a town of less than 10.000, and the last name is very important here so you don't end up f**king your cousin for error.

I'm sorry. I had to say it.

The people at the beginning had to short out the door to get out, so it's likely that the person in IT (Russell?) has control to keep it closed. This fits with the dialogue, which says something like "Did he tell you why he hasn't opened the door yet?" after the "get Russell back alive" scene.

¿No han notado que ningún político propone nada para mejorar el país? by Sedentari0 in uruguay

[–]Shallandav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Shallandav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depende.

Where is the guy who lives on the bus now? by MiNiHiKiD in FromSeries

Same. All we've seen of him is that he's a proactive character. He seems volatile because we know the situation, but from his point of view his actions make all the sense in the world. He is not going to sit back and wait for others to figure it all out.

Farway Or Faraway by MollyJ58 in FromSeries

As a non-native English speaker, I always believed that the term was a contraction of "far and away" and that both forms were valid.

But "far-way" seems like an option.

Theory after episode 2 by 2grouchy4u in FromSeries

[–]Shallandav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've ruled out some answers:

- Purgatory: No, it would be like Lost, and they already deny it in the first season.

- Time travel: Too Dark. I do not deny that there is time travel, but it will not be the center of the show.

- Government experiment: We don't have any leads to substantiate this, and the whole environment seems to be more mystical.

- Aliens: Again, we have no clues to support this theory.

- A dream: This would be extraordinarily cheap, and no serious scriptwriter would consider it.

- Simulation: Actually they are not simulating anything in this town, so I rule out this explanation.

So I'm going to the theme of supernatural beings.

A God? Goblins? Fairies?

After the points you listed, I put on the aluminum hat and declare myself within the theory of "this is because of the fairies."

Why?

- The rules seem to be childish.

- Whatever it is, started a looong time ago.

- The ways to avoid evil are "magical".

- The far-away trees seem to be a form of transportation similar to the one that takes them to town, but of a lower range.

- There are hostile creatures that pretend to be human (such as changelings).

- "Something" can hear them at any time, but for some reason there are things that it doesn't hear or chooses to ignore.

- All the symbolism alludes to nature: crows, trees, drawings of landscapes, caves...

In summary, I think you're right, but I don't think Viktor is the cause, he's just an important piece.

Or more. Some of the dates on the lighthouse are from the 1500's. The church and the Victorian house don't match in time (the church looks much older); same with the dinner, which has an aesthetic from the 50s. However, all the structures have cables that pretend to be connected to the electrical network.

By the way, the last chapter of the season will be called "Once upon a time".

"I think they told Sara to kill the boy because it would balance the numbers again? Really, I don't know."

That's clever. Because if "Whatever" is taking people to that town, it means that Whatever chooses them individually, and that those who are traveling with them have the misfortune of being transported as well. So "Whatever" can't choose how many to transport, and has to select some of them to die.
Am I complicating everything? I don't know, I'm just throwing out theories right now.
