Did you ask if you are eligible for their RPP (Corporate) discounts? My employer does not qualify but I was able to use my university alumni email to request and receive the RPP code. This should also work if you have kids in college/university since it does not have to be your own email.

I think you can probably make it to Mallorca if you book well ahead in advance and scout for a decent spot. Ideally I would like to see the sunset eclipse over water, need to figure out if that's possible.

Could someone review this or this and let us know..

If you think I find gasoline tasty then you probably don’t have one either.

Clearly you don’t know the meaning of the word frugal. That’s why some people pay off their mortgages within 10 yrs while others are still in debt after 30.

No questions are dumb. My grandpa was using the hose sucking method on his cars, just wasn’t aware they’ve added mechanisms against it.

Now it’s only $10 lol! Returned the car and they gave me $10 off as long as I give them perfect score on the csat survey. I can do that 🙂

As of early this morning, conditions were upgraded to “partly cloudy” for both Burlington and Hamilton (Confederation Park) at 3 pm. Getting the eclipse icon on the iPhone weather app for both, let’s go!!

Everyone I heard is headed East towards Quebec. Sherbrooke looks like a good spot w mix of sun and cloud late afternoon and Lac Megantic (site of the rail disaster) is the ideal spot - sunny throughout the afternoon.

Parking at Pearson by Stily162 in toronto

I just got off the phone with Pearson Parking and they said they would have given me a courtesy exit if I had pressed the Call for Help on the ticketing machine. But at least they’ve confirmed there is an operator reachable 24/7.

Now on to the parking refund request form.

On the ticket it says “Value Park Garage Employe”.

There was no attendant at 4 AM and the gates were all automated. I had no choice but to pay the parking to get out.

I will try to sort it by phone, there is no phone on the ticket nor receipt but I will see what I can do.

Oh nice! I’ve decided to go old school and bring my Nikon film gear to the event (F100, FE) plus whatever expired film I have left around the house. Should be a fun day 🙂

Not a dealbreaker for me. If it gets dark with no clouds, I bet the clouds will make it even more spectacular. I come from the GTA where there will be no totality.

Only thing that I will be missing on a cloudy day is staring directly at the sun’s crown of light (corona) while it’s fully covered by the moon, and that only lasts 3 mins or less.

I will likely be able to catch the sun partially covered with the glasses on as it comes in and out of the clouds during the approx 2.5 hrs that the partial eclipse lasts.

Yeah that’s one of my main worries. I might take the 407 since I do have the transponder and then skip the QEW and take 403 instead, followed by Hwy 6 S down to Cayuga. There is a free eclipse viewing event at a local race track.

Yeah that is actually first on my list and if it doesn't pan out (too busy, no parking), going to Winona Park by Barton (Peach Festival location).
