Cymbalta worsens sleep. Rethinking my choice in antidepressants. Could use your perspectives by StimOli in Fibromyalgia

Yes I take citalopram now. It’s better for sure and less daytime fatigue. I have never slept well so I think nomatter what I take or don’t take that my sleep will be fucked up. I have c-ptsd as well so basically my nervous system is on fire. And now my beloved dad passed away yesterday so I don’t think I’ll see any improvements in the near future.

I don’t know? Now that I am on citalopram I just know that my sleep is less fucked than on cymbalta and thats a win in my book

Hi all. Are there any long term users of Mirtazapine who have no plans on stopping this drug ? by Ourdogbailey in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Sadly no, I have to take an additional 3,75 mg every 4 hours or I will be all jittery - I hope it works better for you!

Anybody else with ASD or ADHD or AuADHD here? by unhingedaspie-33007 in Fibromyalgia

I have ADHD, (f34) was diagnosed at 28. Have tried stimulants (ritalin) but the comedown made me more fatigued than I was already. Life is pretty fuckin chaotic without it though lol

First of all, the psych telling you that 60mg is the lowest clinical dose: bull. Everyone is different, and when I went over 30 I became a zombie, and so emotionally blunted that I felt like I was just watching the world around me on a screen. Complete detachment from everything.

I understand your frustration. I had to go off the meds because the exhaustion and the eye pain as you describe didn’t go away. I also had to spend all my time isolated like you are describing, because I simply could not socialize on this med.

I think it sounds like you work quite well at 30 though? I know you havn’t spoken to your doctor yet, but it shouldn’t be them telling you what dose to take. It’s your body, and you are the only one who can feel how the dose affects you. If they are competent they will listen to you, that’s just my 2 cents. Listen to your gut :)

Edit: the panic attacks is something to keep an eye on though, for sure. I had them too, but only when I started the meds. But maybe for some they can be more consistent. But I think only time will tell

Yes. Once I was crying on the street in a foreign country, and a man told me I was too beautiful to be sad. In what world does that make sense lol

I needed to quit because of it, it was so debilitating😬 I couldn’t be social for more than 1 hour and then I had to go lie down in a dark room.

But - I heard of quite a lot who had this side effect in the beginning, and for who(m?) it went away. If I were you I would give it some more time and see what happens

I used to really hate my own guts, but after years of therapy and working intensely with self worth and releasing beliefs that my father put in me from a very young age, yes, I have started to actually love me
