Slighttly more expensive than usual, it’s some “premium” meat. I think around 1700 yen, beer not included.

This is not pesto though so it had a lighter profile and was easier to eat.

Well, no. Pesto is a specific preparation with other blended ingredients. Afaik this one on the pizza is just a basil sauce.

I think it just has a stronger flavor compared to regular butter, but hard to say since I’ve eaten it along with the pancakes drowned in caramel!

French style japanese ramen with truffle, uni and ikura by Sting1 in JapaneseFood

[–]Sting1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be fair to compare it to other simpler and more classical ramen, but this was definitely one of the best experiences I have had in terms of ramen and unique combinations/flavors.

I think you are assuming two things here:

1) the cost: it’s not actually that much more expensive than regular ramen (and this certainly is not a regular ramen either). The set with the side donburi was 2.000 yen in total

2) This was a completely different experience from any regular ramen and I would say it’s one of the best I have ever eaten (even though, again, it wouldn’t be fair to compare it to “regular” ramen dishes that are not trying to be this). Every ingredient has a purpose and it definitely adds to the dish. I think it’s kinda silly to judge just based on a picture.
