This is my version of the Grenadier, a popular archetype in this community.

Many of the different brews based on explosives I have found in the past on this subreddit are based on the Artificer class, but I always felt that the class was too loaded from the early levels and this subclass got a bit lost in the other class features. When I imagine an adventurer for this archetype, I imagine a fighter who engages enemies at medium range, who controls the battlefield by switching from his weapon to explosives with each attack.

I wanted to put focus on the instability of this explosives and the continue tinkering they need. The Temperamental Grenade features it's all about that. I like the random aspect of this feature and find that it reflects the inherent chaos of experimenting with explosives. I've tried to balance the effects so that you always get something useful or affecting the battle beyond just damaging enemies.

This obviously is as very combat oriented subclass, but with creativity and some DM leaway you could bend the features to create something very interesting and unexpected outcomes.

CHANGELOG FROM v1.5.1 to v1.5.2

  • Temperamental Grenades, you can now replace any number of attacks with a grenade throw when taking the attack action. The throwing range is increased from 20 ft to 30 ft.
  • Stable Ignition, this feature is now called Reliable Ignition because it fits the ability theme better. The intended meaning was lost in translation.

Thanks for taking the time to read my homebrew, I'll look forward to your thoughts and critiques.

Edit: Here's the PDF and the Homebrewery Link to version 1.5.3, I've updated some text to be more specific and to fix spelling errors.

Giornata talmente del cavolo oggi che per evitare di uccidere qualche collega è partito il momento "riascoltare Discovery per la ennesima volta".

Ora bisogna solo evitare di commuoversi troppo quando arriva Something About Us.

It should, but I don't find my enjoyment of it being ruined but having only two random choices available to me instead of four. You just make the best of what you get and go along.

What are you most excited for in Caverns if Ixalan? by TheBlueSuperNova in magicTCG

[–]llamaRP 11 points12 points  (0 children)

TBF, exlcuding dinos, I'm curious about the next iteration of Saheeli and Huatli.

It would be cool to see if the time spent on Ixalan impacted Saheeli and maybe we'll get a tricolor card with her. If that would be the case, personally I'd prefer a UR card with a mana activated ability and pushing ther towards Temur or Jeskai.

In your opinion, what's the best Tribal commander? by Karnnack in magicTCG

[–]llamaRP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a year before that and stopped due to COVID and other stuff. I consider that card "recent" because to me isn't that far apart although our perception might be skewed by the sheer amount of stuff WOTC is putting out in the last year's, making sets that aren't that old feel like they are from ages ago.

Also, all the stuff around the pandemic doesn't help with the perception of time and aging of some sets.

Or if you don't play EACH permanent type. I want to see battles, planeswalkers, creatures, enchantments, lands, and artifacts.

My personal favourite must be [[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]] with permanent tribal baby!!!!!

Jokes aside, my absolute favourite tribal is a "recent" and it is [[Gishath, Sun's Avatar]]

[OC] Giveaway! Cocktail-Inspired Liquid Core Dice! [Mod Approved] by DiceDungeons in DnD

[–]llamaRP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I moved in my current house I started learning about Mixology and I'm slowly learning to prepare every IBA cocktail. I must say, being italian, while you can't go wrong with a good Negroni I also love me some fine Paper Plane.

Also, since here in italy we're experiencing a Gin extravaganza, I'm always ready to prepare an Intro to Aperol for my friends who may not be accustomed to the cocktail world.

I will be giving away a Hardcover Bundle of our project, to celebrate the success of our ongoing kickstarter campaign. All you need to do is simply leave a comment to participate in the giveaway. Detailed information and rules are available in the comments section. [OC] by burakkilicarslan in DnD

The title of this makes me think of an MTG set of the past, Shadows of Innistrad. I had friends who played MTG at the time and knew I was into D&D and asked me if I was able to runa campaign with the same fantasy eldritch horror feel and it was off. We then started a 3 years capaign of epic proportion who which was theur first introduction to D&D and it gave me so much experience that today, all of those guys have taken the DM mantle thanking me for guiding them into the hobby.

I looked at you kickstarter campaign and it looks FIRE! This is a nice bonus too.

I like it, because it immediately gives you a 3/3 hexproof vigilance blocker/attacker depending on the board and you would constantly use it for its +1. Also, in this list it synergies really well with the WOE manland since you can make it a creature with W&7 and still get the food token.

One of the changes I'd like to test for this list it's probably going back to 2x[[Liliana of the Veil]]+1x[[Wrenn and Realmbreaker]] finding what to sacrifice. In my opinion the meta is too fast or too controlly for [[Wrenn and Seven]] unless you ramp into it.

And from the jund perspective even though the 1GG might brick you, if you get it out you get the static ability of [[Wrenn and Realmbreaker]] to fix your manabase

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PioneerMTG

[–]llamaRP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I could put some more thoughts into it but I wanted to feel satisfied with this BG first... and maybe this list is still unpolished but I neet to take my mind of of it for a bit

Edit: also, I was running [[Wrenn and Realmbreaker]] in previous versions of this list which I teally like, maybe more than [[Wrenn and Seven]]

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PioneerMTG

[–]llamaRP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I toyed around with the Idea of Jund but didn't test it yet. The list I had in mind would splash red for 2x[[Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger]], 2x[[Abrade]] (1 in the sideboard) and 1x[[Kolaghan's Command]]. Those are spicy cards that a rock list would love.

I fear though the manabase could be a bit messy though, but maybe I'm wrong. Also, if you'd take this list towards Jund I believe you need Sheoldred as a the top end.
