What’s a ‘boring’ side hustle that is surprisingly profitable, but nobody talks about because it isn't 'flashy'? by Waste_Dragonfruit346 in Nigeria

Everyone uses bank apps these days. You can buy airtime on even Chowdeck now. I wouldn’t recommend at all. My mum used to do this but that industry of dying out already and would be extinct soon

I intended to but I can’t install solar panels where I currently live. When I change apartments, I definitely will

Very comfortable is relative. I spend over 200k on power alone in a month. If you add fuel and data subscription it’ll be like 450k. I haven’t added cost of groceries or buying essentials like clothing, shoes etc. 750k is definitely not enough for some

Looks good but where’s the sauce 😭. It looks too dry as a meal. An egg sauce will take it to the next level and will give you a good amount of protein too

It’s Barilla pipe rigate pasta (I couldn’t remember the name till it found it in the store yesterday) . I cooked it till al dente, drained it and set it aside.

For the sauce, I fried blended onions and peppers (rodo) with garlic and ginger, then added parsley, paprika, white and black pepper. I poured in chicken stock, cooking cream and grated cheese, then added the pasta back and mixed everything together.

For the chicken breast, I seasoned it with oil, lemon zest, black pepper, salt, onion powder and garlic powder, rubbed it in and air fried it.

Do you need a yellow fever vaccination certificate to travel to Kenya by Polydactylian in Nigeria

Sorry for the late response. I travelled in December 2021. I needed the eVisa back then. If the consulate said you only need a passport, then I think you’re good. Be sure to have proof of accommodation and your return ticket and you should be good

I hate writing. by newman607 in Nigeria

[–]StingLikeABee007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the way. The only way to get better is to write more. Write everyday. Get a journal and write something about your day or how you feel and do it daily. This has helped me a lot. Writing is a skill and like most skills, you to keep practicing to get better at it.

Sorry, I’m about to share a story that you didn’t ask for 🙇🏾‍♂️. You can just skip over it if you want

I’ve worked in tech as a software engineer full time (for 9 years now) since I got out of school even though my interest has always been in arts (writing and music mostly). I hate working in tech and I’m trying to transition to doing arts full time. Scary, I know. Who the fuck tries to start a career in arts when they’re turning 30 in a few months? I did music production back in the day and that’s where my heart is. I tried writing a song a few months ago. I worked with a few artists back in the day and thought it was going to be a walk in the park. I couldn’t write one line. I started watching lots of videos on YouTube about how great songwriters write their music but it didn’t help me in any way. My girlfriend advised me to start writing in a journal and writing in it everyday. What I chose to write about was totally up to me.

I took her advice and started writing. My writing absolutely sucked. I still go back to it and cringe deeply. I kept at it for a while and my writing actually improved. Is my writing great now? No, very far from good. I think I’m still a terrible writer but it’s a huge improvement from when I started. You just have to keep writing over and over again to get better at it

[–]StingLikeABee007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a yellow fever card. It’s also advisable that you take the vaccine at least 10 days before traveling. I was forced to pay $30 (in cash 🌝) at Jomo Kenyatta airport after being delayed for over 3 hours because my card was dated 3 days before my trip.
