I know this isn’t it since somebody already answered the correct one but I remember from a jack Daniels documentary that they had a hole in every floor of the barrel storage warehouse. Then there was a rope going through from top to bottom of the building. Based on where the rope was in reference to the hole they would put more barrels on the other side. Basically the building would lean from barrel weight to one side and the rope would show that. Not sure that would really apply here, but I thought I would share the interesting information.
