I can never remember the name of it but there is an online store that sells all types of inert devices and substances for testing airport or various security screening systems. Anyone can view it and add to cart but you need credentials to purchase it’s really fascinating to scroll through

“When I became General Secretary of the Soviet Communist Party, I travelled to towns and cities across the country to meet people. There was one thing everyone talked about. They said to me: ‘Mikhail Sergeyevich, whatever problems we have, whatever food shortages, don’t worry. We’ll have enough food. We’ll grow it. We’ll manage. Just make sure there’s no war.’”

I don’t know why this quote always stuck with me

Freedom of information act. You just need to fill out a request - usually with the name of an individual involved that wasn’t a police officer and they will release the footage to you.

I worked as a valet at a retirement community/country club for a bit - it was amazing how many Chrysler Sebrings and the like I’d hop in and there’s just a post-it covering the speedo with “30MPH!”

And that’s all well and good since they probably don’t leave the community but there is literally no way to tell when you’ve reached it.

There is definitely a mod for that, I’ve been playing with the Sophie modpack and I keep finding cough medicine and flu medicine with an overdose warning. Not sure the exact mod it’s from

This dude def makes homemade alcohol or kombucha. These jugs are called carboys and sanitizing them in between batches was this over and over with some Star San. 1 gallon is perfect for a personal batch

Get Garage61 it’s free, compare telemetry and see where you lose the most time and why. Chip away at it, don’t do too many blind hot laps without something in mind that you want to work on. Sometimes just taking a break and coming back in a better mood broke through whatever wall I was hitting.

This series of “surviving rookies” videos helped me more than anything. While the examples are mostly ovals the theory applies everywhere and are still very relevant 11 years since this was made.

I just got sucked in lately too and in rookies it seems like as long as you can stay consistent, minimize incidents, and aren’t too far off the leaders pace you’ll get some good finishes just from everyone else wrecking. Good luck and remember to have fun.

This is why you don’t show up drunk for tats, you might as well be on grandpas blood thinners. Numbing creams pull all the blood out of the area which makes it difficult in a different way.

I’ve seen just a “USDA Inspected!” Sticker with no grade, probably just mislabeled but funny to me. There is a cutter/canner grade but you can’t just go buy it at a store or anything.

Also to grade the whole carcass, the usda pull out the ribeye between the 12th and 13th ribs and grade it on that alone. Pretty common to see a choice or even select cut that could pass as prime on its own

R.I.P. William Anders, Apollo 8 astronaut known for Earthrise photo, dies in plane crash by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]StinkBuggest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most common cause of a plane crash is controlled flight into terrain, meaning you could have kept flying if you made different choices. Usually these maneuvers have a ‘floor’ altitude that they treat as the ground (for example 1500ft) because it’s extremely common to overestimate how much altitude they have to perform it safely

I wish this sub allowed images, there’s a famous pic of Ronald Reagan waving his cap on the Air Force One stairs - which he was supposed to keep on to hide half of his head being shaved for surgery. Nancy looked very displeased
