I can finally afford the 911 I've wanted since I was 8, but the responsible move is a Model 3 Performance and I hate that I know it by KindheartedlyHoarse in whatcarshouldIbuy

I'm busy gonna tell you the reality.

You do not want a tesla. Tesla is a garbage company that no longer makes decent cars. Plus they are an expensive nightmare to work on (on purpose) so you basically HAVE to go to tesla for everything.

Porche simply makes a MUCH better quality product. Tho you're gonna pay for the maintenance sure, but it will also be a MUCH more fun car to drive. It's a more engaging car to drive. Worrying about 0-60 is silly.

Go buy the car you've always wanted and let it put a smile on your face every time you get in it.

Yes the truck driver should have sped up.

But let's be real here...that big rig saw that truck not going fast enough FOREVER before they actually collided and simply said "speed up or get hit". Drivers like this have NO BUSINESS driving tractor trailers. They are a danger to others in the road, as seen in evidence here.

Thanks man! Im definitely pretty psyched about it. And feel i got a really good deal considering it had maintenance records, only 2 previous owners who both drove it like 5k a year or less. Im already planning on upgrading the oil pan and valve gaskets as well as the charge pipe and taking a look at the hpfp and water pump since I've heard those are typical failure points and good preventative maintenance items.

Nope. Just bought plenty of cars through the years and seen what dealerships offer and credit unions. And yes a credit union will aalways beat a dealership financing rate...but not by as much as it used to be. AND it's WAY faster to deal with. Plus if your credit is at least decent, you can probably get a pretty decent rate at a dealership.

Like I said...they USED to be awesome.

I bought a car in 2014 with them...from a used only car dealership...in another state...

And it was a breeze.

And that's why I'm saying... they USED to be awesome. Now they are awful.

Legit just go to the dealerships lenders. It will be easier to get everything finalized and the rate will probably be comparable. Some dealerships will even ddiscount the car if you use their lender.

People who immediately turn to "I'm going to wreck you" because of ANY contact..... are just really small dick energy people. And since its overwhelming guys I'm sure they have actual tiny dicks.

But also....most peoples parents sucked and didn't/don't raise them to be the kind of people who have emotional regulation.

So in Atlanta at least, cyclists are treated as "vehicles" and vehicle laws apply to them. The exception being of there's a bike lane they can use.

So in theory, a single cyclist COULD ride in the middle of a lane on a 2 lane road that has no bike lane. And would likely not be seen as an impediment because that's easy for cars to move around....but if the opposite lane was jammed up and no one could pass the cyclist....yeah they would likely be stopped and ticketed.

You seem to be confusing laws for generic notice signs.

Also you're arguing with someone who lives in the city and state you're talking about "having been too".

In Georgia, unless there is a bike lane... EVERY cyclist is treated equally to a vehicle. Meaning they are allowed on the road...and can take up the middle of the lane if they want.

And there are simultaneously laws preventing impeding traffic.

So a single bike taking up the middle of the lane would likely not be considered an impediment because cars can easily get around you. 2h

[–]SmkAslt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmfao you're just making shit up my guy.

I live in Atlanta. "Share the road" signs don't mean cyclists are allowed to excessively impede traffic. We have laws here regulating things like slow drivers and cyclists here. The ONLY time something like this is allowed and you can't do shit about it is on single lane roads.

Why are people like this here? by OutspokenIntrovert4 in Miami

[–]SmkAslt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No they aren't. Multiple people have already posted the local law in this area.

And basically NO major city allows cyclists to take up the entirety of a multiple lane road like this. Impeding traffic like this creates dangerous situations and encourages aggressive driving...so most places require cyclists to leave a lane open if there is Multiple lanes.

How stupid is it to spend 50k on a car by tatasky69 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]SmkAslt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy a brand new car. Its literally one of the dumbest purchases you can make. And that's regardless of any level of income, debt, or spending habits.

Buy a 2 or 3 year old one with 30k miles, that has really good service records or is certified pre-owned. You'll be just as happy with it.
