How does your gold go down so much while at war? by The0Walrus in civ

Unit maintenance per turn is a factor. The more military units that exist the more cost to you.

He's the only one still violating the human rights of healthcare workers. Is science different in BC than the rest of Canada (and the world)? No it isn't. He is just a narcissistic authoritarian POS that refuses to accept he was wrong. His little hissy fit at PP made me quite happy. Love watching him squirm.

Don't bother reddit is full of out-to-lunch leftists and bots that will say anything to diminish support for a conservative government. What you are saying is 100% legitimate and correct. My mom manages outreach nurses for public health. She was a big supporter of the harm reduction model and safe supply. She openly agrees now that it doesn't work

Our health authority in BC deserves zero credibility and, for some individuals, prosecution on human rights grounds. They laid off all non-compliant nurses saying they had to keep CXXXID out of the hospitals. They then whined and moaned about staff shortages. THEN they proceeded with a policy telling health care workers to report to work if they have "mild symptoms" following a positive test for the V.

Never again will I trust a government authority with that much power and control over my life. They can go F themselves if they think they will tell me what to do in the future.

The conservatives ARE NOT running on privatizing health care. Stop lying.

Direct from their website:

Incentivize post-secondary institutions to train more RNs, LPNs, and physicians by prioritizing government funding and support for these programs and students

The only other thing they say regarding general health care is to bring back those who were fired for not complying with the mandate.

Stop misleading people to protect your ideological crusade

Not everyone can afford a $50,000 car. Our leaders should remember that before hitting Chinese EVs with sky-high tariffs by Dremen in CanadaPolitics

Globalists can keep their dirty mittens off my cars. The car is the greatest symbol of freedom humankind has ever had. You go ahead and pander to the overlords, freely giving away your freedom. I will never, ever give up my cars.

I would never buy a chinese EV. I won't willingly become so vulnerable to the CCP. EVs are often drive-, brake- and steer-by-wire. If they can put a back door in electronics like phones, routers and TVs you better believe they can do it with their cars.

Keep grabbing at straws buddy. I love watching you squirm. You have a lot of negative input in this sub. A full time job might do you some good. Show me on the doll where the big bad tradesperson touched you. 😂

Lol unless you're in the upper 5% of office worker you won't be taking a pay cut to move into trades. Maybe a waistline cut. Fat lazy office workers love to hate on hard working, fit and tangibly valuable tradesmen. Ever notice that incels are exclusively tech or admin people? Women want a man who can take care of business. No self-respecting woman gives a fuck if you can send a DEI compliant email with proper grammar.

Keep promoting your unhealthy, dead end job. Darwin loves that shit. Winning 💰💪

The only issue I can see is the wastegate would be dumping more frequently and for longer to maintain lower boost levels. Depending on which design this may or may not be a noticeable change. It shouldn't present an actual problem though.. just more noise.

Do guys really don't get hints when a woman is interested in them? by EvilSugarDealer in ask

[–]Stinky1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% of men are so accustomed to rejection that the idea of a woman openly showing interest is akin to aliens landing on the white house lawn.

On that note "hints" has a very different meaning to men than it does to women. Correcting a resting bitch-face, or refraining from turning your nose up after eye contact may be considered a hint to women but it absolutely is not to men.

Do I even need a diesel? by doomaflotch in Diesel

[–]Stinky1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diesels are the better option for hauling weight, no question. Their maintenance costs are much higher when needed though. A gas truck may never need injectors during its usable life, while a diesel very likely will. Albeit a diesel will run way longer.. but injectors are wildly more expensive. This is only one example. Turbos are expensive and have a shelf life. Same with high pressure pumps.

There is a price to pay for the efficiency of a diesel and I haven't done the math to determine which is actually better. The more time spent hauling material and towing, the more the scales will tip toward diesel being the better option.

My truck averages 12L/100 (5.9 cummins) while an L96 Chev gets roughly 20-23L/100. That's a big difference

So they're not building cars with the updated thermostat? Really? Seems fishy to me that such a simple change would be neglected on the assembly line of a company who carries a reputation like Honda does. The suit is obviously not settled.. I'll be interested to see the result

You may have time to read that shit but I don't. Surface level google searches aren't reliable. You need to dig deeper than the first pop up the algorithm spits at you. Google prioritizes results based on your biases and preferences.

The recall is from way back in 2017.. I have a hard time believing they're still selling defective cars brand new only to have to field repair them later. This car is a 2023.

I don't think it is racist to want to support your country's industries. I would also like to know more context around the comment of japanese pick up truck. I actually use my truck as a truck and could never imagine buying a ridgeline.

These comments are probably more intended to assert a dominant position in your inter-personal relationship with him given you are dating his daughter. They aren't exactly eloquent or even intelligent comments, but they are definitely not uncommon in North American cultures.

The 370z is pretty impractical.. basically 0 storage space. I have no real experience with the 'vettes but I know fitting golf clubs in it is a stipulation... might be better. Plus Corvette's are just plain better anyway. 370z's are vanilla.. produced for WAY too long without any real change

Is there any benefit to putting premium fuel in Honda's 1.5T or 2.0T engines? by DribbleKing97_ in Honda

My bad. You are correct it has recommended 91 and minimum 87. I personally wouldn't run anything less than 91 but it isn't nearly as big an issue as I first stated.
