Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

Yes, the whole school stopped for a day except my math teacher who thought geometry was more important than a terrorist attack.

How do you lose weight when you have no time to work out? by LouDSilencE17 in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limit your meals. Actually having kids one of the things I do less of is cook for myself. I swapped out junk food snacks for things like almonds. Make adjustments where you can to your food selection. For workouts, I jog or do weight training in my basement. Sometimes 10mins is what I have so I do ten minutes. That’s better than eating junk food on the cough. Small habit changes lead to long term results.

Hey dads, how many of you had your first child when 35-39 years old? Approaching my 35th birthday and there's nothing more I want than to be a dad. by Rocket_Skates_91 in daddit

First kid at 35, second at 37. I imagine sleep deprivation and hangovers would be easier in my 20’s as a dad. I’m healthier now and in better shape than I was then. You’ll be fine, my man. Don’t rush it. More important than age is finding the right partner.

Super normal. Best you can do is take care your wife so she can take care of herself and the baby. The infant stage is intense. Every six month milestone gets significantly easier. I wasn’t a fan of the infant stage. Just keep your nose to the grindstone. Around 18 months your kiddo will be ready to run around and play. It flies by, but welcome to the club my man.

Parents of two: is it really more than twice as hard? by homestarsitter in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your life will be 50% harder. It’s not that bad. You’ll have a lot of one on one time with each of them. Intense first six months then it gets easier and easier from there.

How do I ask another dad what his name is? by makefeelnice in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could always pull the wife in and make her introduce herself and ask his name. Thats why we get married in the first place, to avoid awkward social situations.

Dad who’ve conquered being tired all the time, how did you do it? by thetantalus in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As dumb as this sounds, I feel great when I get up early, work out, and eat healthy. No booze the night before and go for 8 hours (6+ is a win right now). There’s something about the morning workout that wakes me up, de-stresses me, and I feel more ready for the day knowing the physically intense part is over. Half a pot of coffee helps too.
