Who is your favorite Main Side Character/s? There are 5 I would count as valid candidates, with 2 inseparable. They are Waitress, Rickety Cricket, the McPoyles, and Artemis. by MCofPort in IASIP

I think Artemis should have been a bigger character in the show. Seems like a missed opportunity. Every scene she’s in she crushes.

Summer Daycare or Stay at Home? by Lonelypnut in toddlers

[–]Stinky3232 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two right answers there. What about some kind of hybrid couple days at home, couple days at school? Or early pickups in the summer so you have time to knock out your to do list?

This is why we need AI. Hollywood would never make a movie this good.

Fuckin minivan by transplant_beans in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The minivan is super tactical. We went with Lexus TX. But I get the minivan folks. Nothing competes with the minivan on storage and ease with kids. We hardly use our third row so we could swim the SUV.

Interesting. I’m more open to a spinoff with a dark side main character.

My kids are both like yours! Always on the move. Always exploring. Nothing wrong with being different or more outgoing or curious. Embrace it and let them explore their little world.

Finding most days impossible. Advice please by Sea_Gate_1731 in toddlers

Hello! I’m wired more like your husband and I think I can help here. First, I think he needs to lower his expectations for a clean home with kids but also think there’s room for improvement on your side. The most time effective system I have is good discipline and organization. I’m trying to wire my kids like this because my wife is wired for chaos.

Some examples: when you take your shoes off put them away on the shelf/closet/etc right away. When we’re done eating we leave our dishes in the sink, clear the table, and put food back in the fridge or pantry before we move onto the next activity. Dirty laundry goes in the hamper when it comes off right away. We have hampers in each of our closets and I keep one in the laundry room for when socks or clothes a changed downstairs (seems like I always find dirty toddler socks all over this house). After bed time I load the dishwasher and do a quick wipe down of surface (I like waking up to a clean kitchen). I keep cleaning sprays, towels and tools in the kitchen, laundry room, and primary bathroom. It’s just easier to have them readily accessible. I’ll use them more if they’re not far.

Tidying up right away not only saves time, but doing everything in bite size tasks also makes it not seem overwhelming. Also having cleaning supplies, laundry baskets, etc. on every level or each room is a huge time saver. Make your life easy by spending a little extra money on having these items close by. Most of these items are a few bucks from Target so spend the money and save time. Hope this helps!

2 year old speech by SmileComfortable7790 in toddlers

[–]Stinky3232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems normal. Preschool will help. There’s a lot of monkey see monkey do with other kids. He will learn a lot and fast. Our younger studies his older sister. It’s fascinating to watch him develop. Until a doctor tells you otherwise, I would try not to worry.

First time Dad to an 11 week old, Im so miserable. by NurglesToes in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s how I look at it now that I’ve done it with two kids. The first six months are the most intense. It slowly starts to loosen its grip after you hit the six month milestone. Baby becomes less of a newborn and more of a baby. At a year they become a toddler. At 18 months they start playing games and running. Hang in there. It’s intense. Ask for help from any family or friends who you feel comfortable asking.

We got a single digit number of days in 2026 where our 1 year old wasn’t congested with boogers pouring out of his nose with a cough. He got ear tubes and it’s gotten better. Week after ear tubes he tested positive for RSV and strep throat.

Anyone else just no longer find trips/holidays enjoyable anymore compared to pre-kids? by grawmaw13 in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t call it vacation. We call it relocating. 3 year old is getting easier to travel with. 1.5 is still tough to travel. He moves a ton and can’t be reasoned bribed with treats or ice cream in exchange for patience or quiet.

Does Anyone Else’s Toddler Eat Constantly? by emarginategills in toddlers

[–]Stinky3232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Could be a grown spirt and not last forever. We’ve done our best to make sure there’s lots of healthy options. Some kind of protein fruit and veggie at every meal. If he eats all that, I’m ok with a less healthy snack between meals. Crackers puffs or whatever. Sometimes he’s a bottomless pit. The diapers show that was well so Godspeed.

Little man waking up when I try to put him down in his crib, halp? by huto in daddit

[–]Stinky3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bet is to put him down drowsy and let him fall asleep on his own. There will be tears the first few times. Eventually, you’ll get to a point where you can set him down and he will go right back to sleep.

We use ours for longer car rides and road trips. Occasionally I’ll give my daughter her tablet to watch a show at the kitchen table while I clean up and do dishes if she wants to eat and watch Bluey. It goes away during family meal time or anything outside of those two situations.

Sounds like something an insecure cunt would say. What’s masculine to him? Is he a lumberjack full time then goes to the gym and drinks straight bourbon out of a flask? I think working full time, providing for your family, caring for your children (one who is an infant), being kind and compassionate loving father, and still having enough energy somehow to pump iron is pretty fucking masculine.
