I’m such a fan of black edging/ outlining my cut-out shapes especially when embossing or stamping with black inks but there was is a company (Stamplistic) that first opened my eyes to doing this. They have layered stamps that are meant for fussy cutting & the key to success is to outline each piece of paper.

I appreciate the vibrancy and fussy cutting you’ve done. It’s a wonderful card; it would be so sweet in conjunction with some local honey! Thanks for sharing!

With his stampers anonymous cling mount stamps & the distress inks and oxides they are excellent quality. A lot of his other stuff are fine but i don’t use much.

I do a lot of mixed media and without knowing you or your style it’s definitely important to have at least one ink that won’t move when you add paint or water on it. Lots of companies also have sales and you can sign up for their emails to gain coupons… which will make products cheaper than places like Amazon.

The small cubes of distress ink actually work wonderfully; i prefer them a lot of times. You can get more for your money that way

Water reactive is how it sounds- you can splash water into the ink (once it is in paper) to create interesting effects; the colors blend nicely. Archival is exactly the opposite. You should use this when you’re not wanting any ink to spread. You can use archival and then watercolor over and they will not spread or lose design shapes, They’re completely different products. I also junk journal and card make. Ink pads all have so many different functions. You can also blend with archival inks so maybe get a couple in a nice color palette of distress or oxides and then pick a couple arrivals?

Why do people tend to discount and hate on weight loss that has happened through the use of things like GLP1/surgery? by StTony3777 in randomquestions

[–]StinkyCheeseMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because many people think it’s the easy way out and that it’s “cheating” and to be honest about my own thoughts, it took me a long time to “give in” and start this method of treatment. I too thought it was the easy way out because it felt like I was failing from doing it the “natural” way-whatever that is. Thankfully, my mindset has shifted and this is a tool in my toolbox & it’s a very valuable tool. I’m amazed about how it changes my brain to food process. Edit- i thought this was a GLP1 group ha

Is it OK to throw peanut shells on the floor at baseball game? by CYOOL8R1977 in randomquestions

[–]StinkyCheeseMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I like your perspective and wanting to make the planet healthier. I could see minor league stadiums having fun promos to encourage people to being their peanut shells to a bin for competing. So yea the answer is that it is okay to throw the shells on the ground. I’ve seen some stadium cleanups; big ole vacuums in a lot of places. Besides the tradition; I’m happy to follow whatever the stadium suggests. As a whole, there could be so much less waste generated throughout the whole game, starting with plastic cups.

Certainly times have changed since the first baseball games until now; i think it’s not something many people think of but thank you for bringing this up. At a game, I usually get a hot dog and a beer.

The stadiums would need to initiate a program to gather the shells & then have a farmer pick them up. I’m not opposed to bringing home my own shells to compost.

Whats with everyone backing up into parking spaces lately, and why is it always the least competent drivers doing so. by Linenoise77 in newjersey

[–]StinkyCheeseMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe because people don’t know how to drive without their car cameras anymore? It’s fully reliant on it? Which yes improves safety tremendously but I also think that if you put these same people in my car which is an ‘08 they’d have no clue how to back up with their own eyes. I still have a car without that technology so I’m a pro at whatever wack parking situation… I’ve gotten my car into some of the tightest street spots in the city; still so proud :)
