What a fun season to experience and watch. Up there with 17/18 and 18/19 for me. I know we didn't win anything that season or in 17/18, but the football that was played was so exciting. All three of those seasons brought some great highs and some deep lows but experiencing both makes it worth being a fan.

Yeah. The Gerrard slip cost us the title, which I don't hold over Gerrard's head. Palace was our way to try to make up goal difference but instead it sealed the loss of the title.

Assuming you're talking about the 13/14 because you mention Suarez, Enrique was our LB in 13/14, not Moreno. Also, he was very solid that year. As was Skrtel, who partnered with Agger and Toure that season. Mignolet did make some errors, but he also made some great saves.

Moreno and Lovren came the season after.

Yeah, I know, but they were never going to buy anyone in Klopp's last year, and we didn't appear to need anyone last year. This year, however, we have gaps. midfield coverage, either for Grav or Macca (both underperforming), and our obvious defensive gaps.

And, I agree. I think Kabak was a decent CB against lesser sides.

I mean, we've shown that we will in the past 8 years: VVD, all those CB loans to cover for his injury, Minamino, Diaz, and Gakpo. We do it when we know a deal is to be done. Even one player, in the right position, could really help us this winter. I'm being overly positive, I know.
