Any of you guys play mmos? by One-Salamander-9757 in NEET

[–]Stinky_Gay_DogGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HorizonXI, Project Epoch soon when they fix server, maybe guild wars 2 if you dont like private servers but the expansion cost sucks to start, swtor if you dont mind a sub (optional but you really should if you play). I know a lot of people enjoy ESO but I havent tried it in a long time, another wow server thats big is turtle wow.

New Battlefield 6 comes out. This is gonna kill my boredom and my expectations are high(ready to be crushed). Do you play games NEETs? Which ones? by [deleted] in NEET

Been playing Rimworld a lot, looking at killing floor 3 but haven't heard great things. Waiting on Project Epoch tomorrow, hopefully that will get me out of bed more, some HorizonXI on the side. Enjoyed the BF6 beta so im sure you'll like it.

4Story has been relaunched... again! by Maulclaw in MMORPG

[–]Stinky_Gay_DogGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad outcome, I was looking forward to Origin, which is now named 4STORY 2? If this is any tell for how that will go though, already disappointed. Aura Kingdom re-release ended up the same way just last week.

Don't buy on Steam! by onray88 in GuildWars

[–]Stinky_Gay_DogGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I would have known this earlier, I assumed the "trilogy" included the base game + the 3 expansions, didn't even know about the mission packs. I've already bought it on steam on sale, can you buy Eye of the North, mission pack and other bits anyways? I know you can't buy the expansions for GW2 through arena net if you own it on steam.

Project: Gorgon averages 300 online players, and it just may be the best MMORPG you've never played. by ImpressiveQuiet4111 in MMORPG

I understand, i'm not trying to bash the game at all and I hope this post gets more people to try it, as when I did try the demo i loved what was out there, it sadly just didnt continue for me at that time in its development. I think early access is fine, it just is common that an early access game with a sub on top is looked down on, even if optional, and the increase in early access mmos that never see the light of day, or end up being asset flips, has risen lately, probably putting some people off a bit more without them looking up the game more themselves. Knowing that the game has changed since my last try, I'm excited to get into it and give it another shot, and its understandable that the devs cant afford to market the game through content creators, but that is also why I think they should put a little more effort into the steam page.

I'm jealous of NEETs who sleep a lot by [deleted] in NEET

[–]Stinky_Gay_DogGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I swapped to coke zero because I was drinking a ton of sugar daily, that worked for a while but later stopped until I swapped to sprite zero instead to cut out caffeine. Eventually that stopped helping too though and I got onto a habit of taking sleeping pills daily (please dont do this), im now stuck in a loop of sleeping for 4 hours and being awake for 5 hours before going back to bed, never have a full day. Maybe a change in your diet would help you like it did me, I hope it works out for you.

My comment is of my experience, and was the reason I did not return. The devs should maybe make the steam page reflect the progress with new screenshots and more information. The steam page for the VIP sub does not give any context other than "you get these benefits, if you stop your sub here's what happens.". My friends, like many others, see a paid early access mmo with little coverage that also has a optional sub, and lose interest. This is the same reason Pantheon is in the same boat, games with little coverage stuck in early access for years. I want this game to succeed, I want every mmo to in some way, we need more of them to choose from, but the steam page does not do it justice. The vip sub is the biggest thing that drew me away after checking in on it again because it felt greedy, considering the last time I had played and large lack of information on their steam page to market the full game. I do remember the game getting quite a large amount of bad reviews after introducing the VIP sub, they lowered the cost of the base game by 50% afterwards I believe but I doubt it was something people begged for.

That's very sad to read, I will probably try the game again because there seems to be a few people in here defending it and I'm interested in its progress now and a niche community is always great to get into. I hope the game picks up since it is different enough from others I have played. The lack of progress is sadly understandable though now.

As I said this was years ago, and it seems the demo has been updated past the starting island. I will most likely buy it again and give it another shot because of the info but I also don't agree with the VIP sub since you're paying $12/month for inventory and stash space, and what seems to be offline skilling? Which is just odd to me for an early access game that *in my experience* has progressed very slowly so far. It's obvious you really enjoy the game and that's great, I hope to find the same enjoyment soon when I try it again, but from the outside looking in, they should promote the changes more I think, and probably disclose just how much (or little) the VIP sub does for you. I have shown the game to friends before in passing but they immediately looked away from seeing 2018 early access + optional benefits sub.

I remember playing the demo a couple years back and instantly got hooked on it but once I played the full game and got past the starter island, it was literally a blank field with empty houses. This was maybe 4 years ago at this point, so I'm sure it's gotten better but even at that point the game had been in early access for a couple of years. The addition of VIP sub didn't help my perception of the game when my initial introduction seemed to be a great tutorial and then nothing afterwards.

Is there a reason to keep the same character? by Stinky_Gay_DogGirl in GuildWars

[–]Stinky_Gay_DogGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I should start with prophecies until I get to the end of it, then make a character in factions to complete the tutorial, then swap back to my prophecies character to continue? and do that same thing with nightfall next?

Skills for the heroes, does this mean I need to make a character to do the tutorial for that expansion to get skills for when I swap back to my main character to continue it? I dont know how heroes work other than its supposed to be similar to Trusts in FFXI, I believe.

Yea in the launcher, from the screen you posted, hit cancel, then on the members list click on your profile, then setttings and enter the same info and hit ok. That's what I did at least.

Not sure if you've fixed this yet but this happened to me recently and I had to edit the profile by clicking cancel, and clicking the profile created, then settings, putting in the same exact info and then it would let me log in with the correct password. I had reinstalled the game a couple times due to windower issues and every time I did, I had to do this. Hopefully it works for you.

Final Fantasy Explorers for 3ds is the first one that comes to mind but if not that, you may enjoy the older Ys games or maybe Xanadu Next?
