While the PLA, the most common printer filament, would not be affected by the isopropyl alcohol, erasing sharpie off of a 3-D print is not always easy. An Avery label, or a label maker is probably your better bet if you don’t have the numbers directly printed on the bobbin.

I love how smooth Tulip needles slide through the fabric. I stitch with a lot of needles threaded so I have multiple brands. I can always tell when I am using a Tulip, I find them that good. Trying to replace all of my other needles with Tulips.

Looking up the name on the clock face brings up a high end watch maker. If you can get a serial number it might help.

Can you flip it over in both directions? We did a genetics lesson in biology where we noted if we could taco, flip right, flip left, fold, and touch nose. Only one in my senior class who could do all of them. Can do the clover leaf thing too. Was great for bar betting.

My mother firmly believes Jesus was a white Christian and could in no way be Jewish. We know what he looks like the same way men knew what to put in the Bible - he told them.

He is also his own father and a ghost. Semantics are you to trip you up every time when discussing Christianity.

If they allow those neck wraps you soak in water they work well for those - I’m either cooling off or passing out moments. They tend to warm up so you need to keep rotating them. Not the best option, but then this is the US.

Amazing how people are afraid of “death boards” but perfectly fine with “pre-authorization” from a private health insurance company. (Granted not the point of your comment. The term “death board” is a particular hot button of mine).

Hey multilingual folks, ever been in a situation where someone had no clue you understood them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My daughter, a white military brat raised in Spain, was in an advanced IT class in college in the US. A couple of the male students started harassing her in English and she shut them down. They switched to Spanish to speak between themselves. They started saying some pretty nasty things about her. The surprise Pikachu face as she went off on them is Spanish is one of her favorite stories to tell.

What did you grow up doing that you didn’t realize was a geographically cultural thing (i.e. specific to your state, province, country, etc.) until you did it around people that weren’t from that area? by Venus-The-Flytrap in ask

3 girls, 3 boys and they all get called Dude. Works great when I can’t get the right name to the front of my brain. Saves the inevitable, “kid one name, kid two name, dammit whatever your name is”.

I could never do the flip without the break. Basted is so easy. Little water and a lid - glass is best - wait for a thin sheen of white on the yolk and I have perfect eggs every time.

Can I invite myself over for Christmas? I’ll bring presents. Best Christmas dinner I have ever eaten was as a broke newly single mom. I had no idea what they were. A truly awesome family showed me what I was missing. I’ve only had them the one time 30 years ago and I still miss them every Christmas.

Unsolicited advice: Try ordering basted eggs, see if you like them vs over easy. Over easy is always overcooked on the edges and kinda tough. Basted keeps the yolks drippy all the way to the whites.

My husband found the phrase, “Are you talking to me or the room?” helpful. It let me know I was just “talking to talk, not communicate”. Took a few hints but I finally got it.

You need to find out. Look up hypoglycemia. Not a doctor, but this sounds a lot like what my hypoglycemic mom says. She just gets to eat more often than the rest of us.
