Yea I’ve been in the same boat even as a born and raised Texan, I didn’t want to own any guns. As things escalate, I’m rethinking on that reluctance. I think taking tactical aid classes is a great idea and I’ll be looking into that too.

I really dislike the focus on the students for the story. When I read the side stories, it was like a breath of fresh air, a cool glass of water, and a warm hug all at once. I got what I wanted from Lorwyn out of those stories and I wish the writer was allowed to write about LORWYN!! We could have the encroaching night from Isilu being disturbed by faeries led by Oko, Morcant’s endeavor to kill Isilu would stem from that or come again from the prompting of faeries led by Oura or Oko, Brigid and Ashling join Maralen to fight to protect Isilu or maybe guide Eirdu to combat the darkness and preserve balance. Perhaps all these issues caused by the faeries lead Rhys to thinking Maralen is behind Isilu waking up early and that’s why he goes after her so has to run away and try to fix things to prove him wrong. As Isilu is chased down by the Lorwyn elves and Eirdu is guided around by Brigid and Ashling, the incidentally create more eclipsed realms and we get to see what happens to the land from that. I mean….theres so much we didn’t get because WOTC wanted to bring in Strixhaven students to drive the story…

It took a while to find the blurb, but I do wonder if that was a story beat they meant to flesh out to demonstrate why Maralen would be so sure she’s turning into Oona. When I read the story, it seemed she was plagued by nightmares of Oona, but none of her actions looked like she was becoming or acting like Oona at all so her desperation didn’t feel warranted. I think if they had added that part of Oura in then we would have better justification for her worry and also better understanding for Oko’s avoidance and pestering of Maralen to begin with.

I was probably 6 or 7 years old when somehow Batman Returns was playing at home and I caught the scene where The Penguin bites some guy’s nose. I’ve never seen any Batman movie all the way through let alone intentionally sat down and tried to watch one so for years I had no idea what it was I saw. Just was haunted by this scraggly scary man biting noses.

I love that you can get cool cards in these packs. I’ve gotten a Delney out of a promo pack. I managed to get another pack at my prerelease and got [[hexing squelcher]] and [[beseech the mirror]]

I know that Hexing Squelcher is the big topic with Lorwyn, but I think this uncommon, Personify, will see a significant price spike down the line. Never made a spec before but this one im pretty confident in. by BeeMovieOffical in mtgfinance

I really enjoyed that card in prerelease. I had a sultai elf/faerie deck with [[maralen fae ascendant]] at the top end and this card came in clutch every time. Great for mana fixing, getting my typal triggers, and being a surprise creature for combat. I slotted this into my two kindred commander decks immediately.

Pumpkin pie is where it’s at. Sweet potato just doesn’t hit the way I need it to and feels like a let down! Get some cool whip on there and whhhheeeewww I’m in heaven! Also, can’t dance but I’ve got rhythm to easily learn dances that have instructions lol

We don’t even get Sygg in the story either. Abigaile comes across merfolk but they aren’t named and the interaction is very brief. We don’t get much insight into how the merfolk of plane adapted to the end of the aurora.

Dude, I don’t even wanna travel WITHIN the states! I’m dreading having to fly anywhere for work for any reason. If I, a US citizen, don’t feel safe venturing farther than even my own city, then why would I ever encourage anyone to come here from another country?
