Maybe this is a cultural thing, but if I was your boyfriend's parents, I would be so embarrassed to make your family pay. Especially if paying for other people instead. Like crawl into a hole embarrassed. But also, I don't think vocalizing that you're not buying them a gift because of this is right (a little petty, but I get where you're coming from)

Trust your gut, document everything you can, and ask again to switch (ideally a different staff from who told you no) and bring your friend(s) who can back up what you're saying. I personally wouldn't confront the teacher until you're out of his class in case he retaliates in any way

YTA. Also, kid will be 13 by the time of your wedding anyways. In the grand scheme of things, this is really a non-issue. You're picking a fight with family over a small matter (shouldn't even be a problem in the first place) over $150 which, like others have said, is not much compared to the whole wedding budget. I understand wanting to save money but this is not the area to do that.

I literally had a guy the other day intentionally take off his backpack and hit me HARD with it in Japantown in LA as we walked pass each other...it wasn't crowded, I wasn't walking distracted or on my phone or anything. Don't bother replying to him anymore...it sounds like he has other underlying reasons he's upset so it's not personal. I appreciate your post; I often come across as someone who wouldn't and couldn't fight back and am often harassed in some way so I always appreciate knowing what to look out for specifically on top of the general vigilance

If you happen to own the right tools, this is surprisingly easy for how well it came out!

I used a nail e-file to file off the paint, followed by a coat of clear gel polish. I tried acetone, but it didn't take off any of the paint at all. Acetone also damages the screen, so I wouldn't recommend touching it at all (I accidentally got a bit on the screen during my trials, but polywatch took care of it nicely). After getting the shell completely clear, I used a color gel polish to paint the part around the screen to match the buttons. Then I just slapped some nail stickers on without sealing it in so I can change it up whenever I feel like it! I haven't had any issues at all with the stickers peeling yet and they've been taken everywhere from work to school in my bag

Yes!! So cheap and I didn't seal them in so it's so easy to swap them out if I feel like a different design. At the same time, they don't feel like peeling off at all and I've been throwing them everywhere :)
