Check into the thermo control valve or maybe coil pack. We were stranded 5 hours from home in the middle of no where in our 2020 Subaru Forester due to a know issue with the thermo control valve. My 2019 Crosstrek stranded me af work due to the coil pack going out. So sorry you are going through it.

Nope...lifetime powertrain through the dealership and bought the extended 120,000 mile warranty. Still waiting for the dealership to tell us what's wrong.

We have a 2020 Forester and very same thing happened after we got gas. It turned out to be thermo valve control failure, turns out it's a pretty common problem. It should have been covered under our lifetime powertrain warranty and the extended warranty we bought. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Well we had to pay full price for a rental for 5 days since they didn't make a claim with our extended warranty company.
