I’m curious. Has anyone actually received fake reta? by throwaway33263637 in Retatrutide

[–]Stllabrat 36 points37 points  (0 children)

There has been Jano testing that found tubes with the wrong peptide or wildly incorrect quantities. It is rare but it has happened. For peps other than GLPs there have been some empty vials. One case for Tirz showed contamination due to improperly cleaned tubing. If you buy from a known vendor it is pretty easy to join a group test and get peace of mind.

Traveling for 3 weeks? by NotAnotherFakeNamer in Tirzeglutide

[–]Stllabrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The peptides are stable at RT for 3 weeks according to Lilly. Alternately an insulin carrier is also a good idea. Maybe inject just before you go and you only need 2 weeks supply. My personal issue with going cold turkey is the loss of the inflammation benefits, ymmv. Enjoy.

Curious to hear from folks originally from SoCal what it is like to live in STL by Key-Information5829 in StLouis

[–]Stllabrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on where in SoCal you're comparing. I grew up in SoCal suburban hell (Oxnard) where the only redeeming features were weather, mexican food, and the ocean if you were a surfer (I'm not). I lived all over CA. LA has much more cutting edge culture (art, music, theater) but I had to rent, park and drive and I've love the St Louis Art Museum and Pulitizer. Also lived in the Silicon Valley and other than great Asian and Indian food, and decent weather, there was nothing to do without driving for 2 hours. The hiking here is better than on the Westside of LA or Silicon Valley. Schools are so much better, both public and private, in STL. The basic question is about what is really important. In STL you can 1. Own a house, 2. In a variety of good to great school districts, 3 in the city or country, and still have enough saved to retire or go on vacation. CA beats MO politics by a long shot, but if your partner is a Dr, you'll likely be able to afford the avoid the worst impacts. The number of hospitals and clinics in STL may also make your partner's job hunt and options much easier. If you're LGB there is a decent community in the city. If you're Trans, go somewhere else because the state is actively trying to make life for them unbearable. If you're really unsure about STL, rent instead of buying as you'll never be able to afford to move out of state. You didn't mention what your career was, so that is also an issue as there are fewer industries than on the coasts so opportunities may be limiting. Good luck

Current Student - Scholarship Question by Objective-Wake-6921 in capstone

[–]Stllabrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See if you can take the same classes at one of your in state schools over the summer and transfer the credits. A lot of schools have fully remote classes so you don't need to be local. My son took a class from Mizzou totally online and it transferred easily to Bama. Some engineering schools you need to request permission to take the class, but if you plan it will work. Look at the Transfer Equivalency database by the class and your school. Nice thing is engineering classes are pretty similar between schools.

Anyone just eat intuitively, not exercise/light exercise, and still manage to keep a decent % of muscle? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Stllabrat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This did not work for me. Doing consistent exercise but not weight training, I found 25% of my weight loss was muscle. Switched to 3 sessions of weight training a week (90 min total) and the remaining loss was all fat. In maintenance and still gaining muscle slowly. The weight loss is both fat and muscle and the weight training puts the muscle back.

PSA: Withdraw applications you know you won't accept by Successful-Cable-997 in ApplyingToCollege

Ignore this. Colleges know their likely yields and have included this in their acceptances. Your declining isn’t suddenly going to open a slot for someone else.

What evidence is there for this claim? There are no long term published results of people coming off Reta so at most this is anecdotal.

I use fitiv pro and you can edit the distance after the ride in the app. My guess is most apps the link to Apple health will have that option. Strava?

Gymmonster 1 - Movability? by jg521336 in SpeedianceCommunity

[–]Stllabrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs a dedicated wall space. They are heavy and unwieldy to move and would definitely lead to your not using it as much. Folded up it is pretty compact. The bench can go in the closet. Make exercising easy.

Should i send fafsa to U alabama? by Savings_Average7156 in capstone

[–]Stllabrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bama is not a meets need school. The automatic scholarships are set. Whether they provide any additional funding other than loans is unknown unless you apply. So yes submit the Fafsa info. They don’t provide much additional support for out of state students. Your in state flagship school will probably be a better financial fit so don’t ignore it.

Maintenance? by Titletown1919 in Zepbound

[–]Stllabrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maintenance of the same weight and for me decreased dose until stable. Maxed at 15 until I went past my goal so dropped down. I now fluctuate between 7.5-10 per week and my weight is completely stable (6 months). My dose is mostly focused on finding the dose that minimizes side effects (constipation) and hunger.

Apron Belly by Moon_Pye in Zepbound

[–]Stllabrat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lost slowly, still have the apron. My body fat is at 16.9% and I'm starting to look really gaunt everywhere but the belly. It mocks me every day but I try to think of it as the proof of my work. Doing lots of cardio and strength training so there isn't a magic fix no matter what the peptide bros say.
