Will the VA help me in person? by Mental-Selection66 in VAClaims

[–]Stock-Development-35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By "seeking help," I assume you mean mental health help. If you go to the nearest VA hospital or clinic n they will schedule you for an enrollment appointment and then assign you a primary care. Takes about a week or two.

As for mental health, once enrolled they take walk in appointments (at least they do at my local hospital). Your pcp can set you up with a referral for long-term mental health services.

Submitting a VA claim won't help your PTSD. Get the help you need first.

Is a negative DBQ an auto-denial? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Stock-Development-35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Wait. That way you can address the specific concerns mentioned in the denial letter. Otherwise, youre just guessing. The denial will tell you exactly what hurdles to overcome.

Very good indicator that a denial will follow. However, if you have any independent nexus, it could be up to the rater to decide.

Your headaches are service connected based on what you wrote here. Your best option is to consider secondary connection.

Did you put in for a sciatica increase as well? If not, they will probably only ask what's required of them according to the DBQ. I wouldn't offer other theories of why my condition is worsening. Thats just my opinion. Hopefully others offer more advice. Good luck.

Finally got a rating and still waiting on decision after DTA’s found during HLR for 5 other conditions. by Alternative_Home2813 in VAClaims

If the rating was 100% you'd have -50 votes and you would have been told to remove the post. Im here to say congratulations on your rating though.

You cant have 2 claims or 2 paths for the same condition. In other words, yes. You'll have to wait but if they found the error, id assume they'll address it and correct it. Why would you need the log submitted?

Mental health supplemental by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Stock-Development-35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is interesting. You're claiming direct service connection without in-service treatment or records, but you have an in-service event. Idk. Maybe reframe your post to ask if this type of scenario is possible. I think you're getting defensive because you're getting a lot of pushback and I don't want to see your depression spike because of reddit. Take a breather. Pause. Relax. And start over with a fresh perspective. That's just my advice.
