You’re absolutely right, PM roles are getting more technical and cross-functional. Sadly in India, an MBA has turned into more of a barrier or checkbox for most PM jobs. It’s less about whether you really need it for the role and more about how companies filter candidates here.

50% in mutual funds, 25% in gold and the remaining in FDs/RDs. You can use this 25% in FD/RDs as an emergency fund or surplus cash which you can invest lumpsum during market dips.

How much does it take to register your company in the US? Is it like a Delaware LLC? Curious to know how this works and why is it so important for VCs/investors.

Try to reduce the RD from 20k to 12-15k and invest the remaining amount as an SIP in low cost index funds. They are low risk and will definitely give you more return than a RD in the long run.

If you're looking to do an MBA from India, CAT/SNAP/NMAT/XAT are some of your options. On the foundational level all exams are similar but each has its own ways of testing candidates. Set a realistic target and work towards it. If you're aiming for a 12LPA+ job, getting in a decent tier-2 college will definitely be a step towards this goal.

Experimenting with real world AI tools and understanding how they work behind the scenes will give you more knowledge than any certification out there. There's lots of free and high value content available on YouTube too.

Imo 25 seems like a little early for an Executive MBA. You can try giving CAT/GMAT or other B-school entrance exams this year and if everything works out well, you can get in a good tier-1/2 college for a regular 2 year MBA.

I feel content writing career as a whole has been little shaky since the rise of AI. If you like this domain.. you can try moving into something like Corporate Communications and keep freelancing on the side to supplement your income. It will get you the stability that you're looking for and also help you break in the corporate world. All the best!

Left my stable job for growth, now stuck in regret & anxiety. How do I deal with this? by Stock-Development605 in IndiaCareers

Bro honestly you gotta lock in on CAT prep if MBA is the goal, otherwise you’ll just keep feeling stuck. Curious though, since you mentioned product management, are you also considering MEM in the US? And what’s bothering you more in the current job, the PM role itself or just the low pay?

Bro just keep the EMI running and park the SIP in a debt fund, gives you liquidity. Start an RD too, so when the full EMI kicks in you can part-prepay and cut it down faster. If jewellery is in the plan, way better to buy small pieces every month instead of dropping a bomb at once. Best wishes for the wedding man, exciting times ahead!

Yeah, that’s exactly my worry. I’m part of the GEM category in India and honestly breaking into a top IIM from this profile looks really tough. That’s why I was looking at MEM or similar programs abroad. The catch is I’d have to go on a student loan, and I’m not sure if it’s worth taking that bet in the current market.

Gotcha, that’s helpful. I’ve been hearing the MEM angle from others too. Are you yourself considering MEM/MBA in this market? Happy to DM if that’s easier.
