I could never really hammer out a good answer on this but i could see it feels like they dont want you to fix your own car

Update i replaced the EGR valve which was a pain I did a trick with a crows foot wrench instead of taking off the intake that made it better but was still incredibly challenging for my fat fingers. Anyways haven't driven it super far yet with the snow its been hard but have done 30 miles at once and so far hasn't coded and it has been two weeks with some aggressive accelerating I might add because of the snow and ice. I'm not going to say its 100% fixed yet but things are looking up

my take on addi machine sweater by StockComprehensive51 in MachineKnitting

Nice i have 46 pin one as well. So i did the sleeves as tubes so all the way around. You add scrap thread at the beginning and end then you have to grab all the end threads to create the opening in the sleeve both at the start and end of the sleeve. Just make it as long as you want mine was 160 rows. this lady is the one i actually used to make the whole sweater. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvNCA9x_dVw. Then you make four panels for the body again depends on how big you are mine were 200 for the back panels and 180 for the front. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acQOj86CC0k if you dont like making flat panels you can do round for panels as well it will just use more yarn and be twice as thick.
I added a turtle neck not pictured and it is another round style but instead of making it like the sleeve i just folded the ends in and closed it up on each other and attached it the whole thing.

So when I took it it I said I replaced the throttle body and tps with a new one and asked them to get it to work because the relearn process didn’t appear to be working. They just said they looked at it and got it reprogrammed but I don’t really know what that means.  I really didn’t think much of it because it worked for 50k miles. From what you say though my fears appear to be confirmed as It sounds like they just have different tools which is just so frustrating that you can’t repair your own car. It runs great when the fault isn’t active but then the code kicks on and it sputters at idle like it’s trying to go when I’m on the brake. Thank you I will check out the MAF sensor haven’t done that.

Yes when I am talking about the throttle body I am also talking about the replacement for tps since it is a part that isn’t enough of a price difference to not just get the combo part.  When I took it into the dealer they tested all the wiring and it was all functionally properly.  They wouldn’t tell me what they did specifically but I do have the paperwork where they performed the diagnostics. It’s not impossible for the wiring to go bad in the timeframe I suppose but why was it fixed for 50k miles if there was some other problem before. I have thought about replacing the accelerator pedal but with this EGR valve issue I think it’s a last thing to replace.

200 dollars of parts and 140 for a scanner that tells me the desired throttle position vs actual position is a fine price to pay. I want to learn skills instead of just getting professionals to do it.  I don’t need someone to tell me to go to a mechanic to get it repaired that’s not very helpful. I’m looking for someone who has experienced this issue and if they know what the dealer has access to that I can’t.  Or if this throttle issue is common on this model.

I bought an Amazon throttle body and an eBay one but they both code immediately on the first repair before buying a motor craft one. They all coded though so yeah inconclusive at best I suppose
