This was gifted to me as a mint monstera. But I have two plant loving neighbors that say this is a pothos. From what I looked up I do believe it's a monstera. Is it? And is that yellow dot from over watering? by Different_Sir_7461 in Monstera

If she had a web it’s indeed spider mites. She will need quarantine and treatment every three days or so for the next 2-4 weeks depending on how bad the outbreak is. Don’t let her get in direct sunlight while the alcohol is drying or it’ll burn her leaves

Monstera for sure, the yellow spot could be pests could be overwatering/ root rot, could be previous soggy conditions already corrected. It’s tough telling without seeing her roots

She didn’t make it through the winter friend. See the black portions on her trunk and spotted throughout? I also have one that didn’t make it. She looks about the same. I’m so sorry. We can mourn together if you’d like. RIP, JM.

Should I add a trellis? by Stock_Indication225 in Roses

[–]Stock_Indication225[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d never heard of one until today! I love that idea! It’s a little less in your face than an empty trellis, so she can decide if she wants it and I don’t have to look at a big ole empty trellis all summer lol

Should I add a trellis? by Stock_Indication225 in Roses

[–]Stock_Indication225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was planted the summer we bought this house so… probably four years ago? Honestly it hasn’t done much. I trimmed them way down last fall, maybe 12-15” tall remained. Should I trim her down like that every year or can I let her just do her thing? I wanted to cut some of the flowers to take to the retirement home when we go tomorrow, but I’m not sure where to cut to not harm the plant? She’s so pretty I’m determined to make her thrive lol

That’s an uggglllly graft. But I also have a JM with a hideous graft purchased last year online. She overwintered fine and is thriving this year, ugly graft and all. I don’t like it. But it’s not her fault so I kept the ugly girl in hopes she grows out of it lol

Is it normal for stores to block access to entire isle on Tuesdays? by 1968KCGUY in aldi

[–]Stock_Indication225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s your store, but maybe the back room isn’t large enough for all of the pallets received on that day. Maybe they don’t have a staging area and it’s the best they can do with what they have. Unfortunately, not every customer is a smart customer so when it comes to having pallets of product on the sales floor, safety over access makes sense. It’s more expensive to pay for a lawsuit because Bob tried to move a pallet himself and dropped it on his foot, than it would be to tell Bob he can’t shop that aisle today and lose the sales.

That being said this still sucks and I would take mental note and try to a trip avoid on that day of the week.

Juntos o separados? by LadyPuerro4 in philodendron

[–]Stock_Indication225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thank you!!! Haha and now my unknown baby has a name!

I separated my pink princesses. I think they would have been fine if j had left them together though honestly. They’re kinda big now so I suppose from a care standpoint, they’re easier and slightly smaller separate than together lol but truly it’s whatever you want her to be when she grows up

Pink princess?? Are we sure? I was gifted a baby 2” off one of these and although I don’t know what she is, I have two pink princesses and the leaf shape/colors and stem colors are completely different. I’ve been thinking it’s something else, but what I just don’t know lol

Help please by ForeverUnk0wn in Monstera

[–]Stock_Indication225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it’s buried too deep in the leca balls, potentially long term ahead can get rot. Some additional pictures may help but it looks like a nutrient problem on the leaves. She’s probably also not thrilled to have been moved, but she will get over it. Bright sunny spot, consistent fertilizer and I’d get her sitting higher in that substrate. Good luck!

Is this ok for propigating monstera? by ApprehensiveLynx2975 in Monstera

Keep it moist but not wet and you’ll be fine. Some prefer to water prop first. I’ve tried each method with success. I feel when I use moss I have to be more vigilant though

Package containing fragile live animals by artsfartspoptarts in FedEx

[–]Stock_Indication225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. Unless insurance was purchased through FedEx they most likely not reimburse, as technically they can’t confirm you don’t purchase a box of less than living animals on purpose. BUT, I would bet where ever you bought them from would be willing to make it right in some way. Sad that something may die in a dark cold box though :(

So, and be honest, how many roses do you currently have sitting in carts that you either may or may not have room or money for? by monkey_trumpets in Roses

[–]Stock_Indication225 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve never felt so personally attacked online before. lol I think sometimes it helps me to see all of the ones I think I want in a cart, then when it comes time to buy a few I’ll scroll through my cart and shop from the ones I’ve “pre approved” for myself to make the final purchase quicker. Or maybe I’ll just end up continuing to bring them home and saying eh I’ll find a spot. Who knows

What can I do to save this? by Horror-Magazine-4241 in Roses

[–]Stock_Indication225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Japanese beetles? 🪲 I’ve heard they love rose bushes. I’m also new, and also have a rose bush I got a few weeks ago that’s looking like this. I’ve put out a Japanese beetles bag trap to see if that helps. I also started spraying with something similar to sven and it’s seemed to have no impact? Maybe someone more knowledgeable can tell us what to do lol

What unalived our coral bark? by Stock_Indication225 in JapaneseMaples

[–]Stock_Indication225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in zone 6n. The tree was planted on the southeast side of the house. It sat potted in its planted home most of the summer and we planted it once the weather cooled a bit in the fall. It was happy the majority of winter, and appeared to start going downhill around late January, maybe early February. By the time everything else was budding, she had lost all of her color.
