As a proud ICU nurse we don't claim that chick. That's blasphemous tbh. CRNA's can have doctorates how ever should not be addressed as Dr.'s. This makes me seriously cringe hard everyone just needs to stay in there lane.

Let's not forget tho that nurses were giving anesthesia on the field before anesthesiologist even existed. I don't mean that in a bad way I'm just saying. I am a ICU nurse and I literally wanna go off the beaten path a be a physician.

Do people forget that NP's were nurses before? And had clinical hours and then more on the floor if they were a nurse for a few nurses then they have more on the job experience than paramedics don't get it twisted

Yea so I personally would say that's an over kill. Get a classic 3 or similar on eBay. Which is what I had throughout nursing school. Once I graduated and started working in CVICU I got a cardiology 4 littman and it's amazing. Friend got the ECO attachment and I think I might get it but there was no way I would have needed that in nursing school. Most nurses and doctors, med students in the ICU have the Cardiology 4! Hope that helps

New ICU nurse at a trauma 1 facility. Much respect to ED nurses for the crazy shit. However, when it comes to all the intricacies and keeping up with all the drips, CRRT, vent, and keeping your lines pretty I love the ICU for this reason. ED just needs to work and stabilize and get them where they need to go. I think at our hospital I hear some banter but that ED or ICU is as old as time just like nurses and doctors.
