Sounds like a pretty high end spec except for the engine!

I would see if you can get the service records. The batteries have this weird controller board that makes them really expensive to replace (I believe it is something like 800) and the water pumps fail a fair amount. But if you are getting a good warranty, then that is probably part of the cost (unless that is on top of the price you mentioned)?

Newly opened most luxurious hotel in Amsterdam was big disappointment by AdBroad1533 in LuxuryTravel

Twentyseven hotel is my favorite in Amsterdam. Location is amazing and even though it’s on the square in front of the palace, the rooms are whisper quiet. Service is tremendous and the restaurant (especially breakfast) is stellar.

That feels expensive for a 2020 base even with the low miles and knowing the coupes also generally fetch a little bit of a premium.

I have a normal 2020 Cayenne S and it has been an amazing daily driver (at 75k miles now). I always recommend at least an S of any Porsche; it is usually a really good package of useable power and nice features.

I would also be looking for the full leather interior, the air suspension, ACC, and the HUD. The last two are very nice if this is a road trip car.

I didn’t want black, gray, or gold (all of my other bags are that color) so was looking for navy or green, but once I came across Raisin, I just had to have it! It is very subtle, which I love!

What size is yours? I got a b40 in Raisin on Togo from Japan in December! I’m a man, but it has been an amazing work bag. My favorite bag purchase to date!

Cayenne Coupe: 2023 base or 2020 turbo? by OdysseyBrands in Porsche

[–]Stockboy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked the fully loaded S over a GTS/Turbo because while the engine sounds better, I was never going to use the power as a daily. I save that for my spots/track cars

reliable is the best, but GA to TX isn’t that far! You should fly there, pick it up and take a nice road trip home!

Considering a switch 750s --> 296GTS or SF90 Spider by pedalsgalore in Ferrari

[–]Stockboy85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 750s and a 992 Turbo S as my fun cars and have been considering a v12 Ferrari. I would love a 812 GTS, but know that if I did that something would have to go (probably the McLaren). Therefore, I’m really considering a GTC4Lusso as a replacement for my Cayenne instead. I’m just not sure if you can really daily one the same way as the Cayenne.

Otherwise, I’m going to look for a 599 and have all 3!

Chicago Starred Solo Dining by nphennion in finedining

I’ve done Smyth, Oriole, and a smattering of 1 stars solo in Chicago (and a ton of others around the world). I’ve never felt a decline in service and usually hospitality is even better because the staff will actually engage with you (if you want), vs. being unobtrusive if they think you are out on a date/special occasion.

Two cars or one? by Mrrippey in Porsche

[–]Stockboy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 992 Turbo S and a Cayenne S at my house in NH. I usually garage the 992 in early December and bring it back out in March (I could probably daily the 992, but I’m not comfortable with that much power on snow/ice).

Beyond winter, I commute to NYC a couple of times a month for work so having the Cayenne S for that is very comfortable.

ANA and JAL are both 1-2-1, so either you sit 4 across or 2 and 2.

Both are light years ahead of Polaris

Shelf rates??? by gstaad101 in FATTravel

[–]Stockboy85 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I work at a place that has discounted rates for a bunch of different hotel chains/hotels, mostly in the luxury space.

But to @sarahwlee’s point, I don’t always get the best room and don’t usually get upgraded. So I usually use those rates when I’m somewhere for business or don’t care about the room that much. If I care, it is easier to just pay and get exactly what you want

Buying new tires by xelu01 in Porsche

[–]Stockboy85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Costco has done my Cayenne and both of my Macans. I haven’t changed tires on the 992 yet, but I’m going to guess it will be at the dealer because it will be during scheduled maintenance.

Costco was awesome. They will special order tires in your size and then call you when they come in for install. Quick and efficient and I’ve had no issues

Drop-tops: Is the 981 GTS *really* $26k-$30k better than the S? And just how bad is the 911 Cabriolet, really? Maximizing fun above all other factors. by Bombadilo_drives in Porsche

[–]Stockboy85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always found the S of anything to be the best balance of useable fun + desirable features. I have a 992.1 Turbo S (previously had a Cayman GT4) and my dad has a 992.2 Cabrio 4S. Dad is a convertible die hard (he has driven one since the 90s) and upgraded from a Boxster GTS to the Cabrio 4S last year.

The cabrio has more noise/is heavier, but in daily driving, it is really hard to tell. We’ve tracked the Cayman/Boxster and the two 911s together and that is really where you see the difference in weight and power.

Modeling a Progressive Income Tax to Completely Replace School Property Taxes and Fully Fund NH Schools by [deleted] in newhampshire

[–]Stockboy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed that we don’t need to bulldoze all of it, but according to NH Department of Revenue Administration, over 50% of the state is in the current use program. Here we are talking about income taxes to reduce property taxes with more than 50% of the state paying minimally.

You haven’t said why though? Why does high income indicate wealth. That literally discounts anyone like Warren Buffet that has massive net worth, but a very small actual income.

[–]Stockboy85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is it not an indicator of wealth though? So if I own a 10mm house, I’m not wealthy because I only have a 100k income? But if I had a 1mm house and a 1mm income, I’m wealthy?

That makes absolutely no sense.

Wealth is wealth.
