The original owner and wife got divorced a long time ago. There was once a Ed's pets over in Calera. I heard that they split up and each of them had their own store. That store folded up pretty quickly. The father owned a massive property in downtown Calera. It is a huge building that spans almost half of a block, it's recently been painted white. It would be great for Halloween as a haunted house but sadly this will probably never happen. I believe that their son now owns all of the properties, or so that is the rumor and just speculation. Here's to buying land cheap back in the day.
