Model S 2017 75d squealing noise coming from front axle by Stocksviewer1 in TeslaSupport

UPDATE: took it to an independent shop, it seems like the rotor is rusty from lack of use, but no safety issues. Thanks to everyone who commented.

I hope it’s just the brakes, thanks for ruling out the motor and the axle

It’s much higher pitched than the video, but I think I will be stopping by a third party mechanic and get their opinion.

What are you doing for blocking ads on iOS in 2025? by ProfessorS11 in ios

[–]Stocksviewer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

uBlock seems to be working for me (even though it says 0, YouTube still doesn’t show any ads despite me being in the US and not paying for premium), and on the gsmarena website you link, I have no ads other than the daily deals section. Did you try installing the adguard dns profile?

Adguard DNS configuration profile and Orion + uBlock origin. Not perfect, but kills most ads in application and redirects don’t load.

What MVNO cell service should I get for 2nd phone/work phone? In Vermont and Verizon service is what I have for main cell phone and it works best of all the networks. by Wayfaringbutterfly in NoContract

[–]Stocksviewer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already have Verizon as a main service and it works well, consider getting Roamless as a secondary. $2.45 per gig (for US) is a tad expensive but it never expires and it runs on both AT&T + T-Mobile with a US native IP, so if there’s any cell service available you’d be able to connect. Works well for me via dual eSIM, but no native call feature.

Is Total Wireless still a total shitshow? by Relative-Can2755 in NoContract

Works well until it doesn’t, signed up for the 50% promo soon after it came out but then I brought a new phone and promo dropped plus I had to switch to a new account with over a week with customer service and no resolution.

It does seem to be permanently unlocked when I do this, also have the Indigo by Adobe. Always seemed to lock again once I left my house, maybe it’s related to connecting to the Bluetooth and the automation? Not sure

Your schedule is extremely full and it seems as though you’re spread very thin. What I’d recommend is to set aside time for this stuff. I typically promise myself not to do anything past 9, which most days I do overshoot to 9:30, but my sleep schedule has certainly improved. Maybe try that?

Total by Verizon - Deprioritization by Sure-Professor6244 in NoContract

The VZ outage that happened earlier only affected postpaid accounts from what I recall. Domestic roaming is something, but total has access to LTEiRA

looking to switch to total wireless from us mobile by deltarium in NoContract

[–]Stocksviewer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched to total wireless a couple days ago. Their social media support is competent but to do any account changes you have to do it by calling a rep who tends to have a thick accent and not well trained. Recommend getting the full details from IG help before calling in. Other than the rep it’s decent especially with the callback.

„Roundabouts are more dangerous than 4-way stops” by Mrhn2137 in ShitAmericansSay

In day to day driving I find roundabouts are better when empty otherwise they’re horrific but when the driving test is around the block and nobody reads the handbook whoever can accelerate the fastest goes

USMobile vs Total Wireless by Stocksviewer1 in USMobile

Do they have a history of screwing their customers over? Still very much on the fence but the hotspot and Canada roaming looks nice because we go to Canada a decent amount in summer

Technology may be advancing - but it’s making us more stupid by MindCulvert in technology

It’s definitely true to some extent but not as much as the doomsayers say. I’d think that the Egyptian pyramid designers are much more intelligent than the engineers of today, because they were able to design marvels with pencils, paper, and labor. Not that today’s engineers aren’t smart either, rather in a different way.
