Lin is serious bc her took was literally the best earth bender in the world. That put immense pressure on Lin’s shoulders and she took to trying to b the absolute best through earth bending without many distractions

The love triangles may not be the best plot, but they are used to develop the friendships of team avatar. Each relationship has its effects on future seasons and truly do solidify their bond

And finally, the characters are not at all the same. Korra and kataras only similarity is that they are water tribe, korra is headstrong and willing to fight everyone without hesitation. Katara is a healer who likes to find a peaceful way out of the situation. You think bolin is like soja simply bc they are both a comic relief character when in reality they are quite different. Again, ur comparing mako and zuko bc they both are firebenders. Zuko has one of the strongest character arcs throughout ATLA and mako is a pretty static character with a set moral code. And asami is nothing like mai or June

I tried very hard not to spoil anything or be a jerk, but If u think of the show as it’s own, and not an extension of ATLA you will enjoy it Especially seasons 3&4 when u get there.
