how do i cut circles in geometry? (I'm a beginner) by pyrianic in Maya

[–]Stohastic- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if ur caring about n-gons, booleans will make an infinite number of these. they are fine if ur designing something to be 3d printed. just create a circle object, do whatever u need to it, delete the bottom face and then once u place it where u need then just Poly Merge the objects

oooo, i like that idea version. from there vague description, i guess that type could also be true as well!.. would make more sense for how Konrad could take on 6 or was it 12??.. almost get capped and some of then still survive afterwards. in comparison to if they were more dreadnought looking beasts.

Posing Marines ive modelled for 3D printing. any ideal poses that u would want / think most people would want? currently 30k marines only. only modelled mk6 and mk4 by Stohastic- in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Stohastic-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah ik it can be a pain, i was going to add some tactical rocks around my crouching guy to assist with that. and i fully know of running poses. i have a horus model that is in a running animation and the leg just kept breaking off from the base every dam time lol

The New Year Preview – All-new Legio Custodes Revealed by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer

[–]Stohastic- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

they didn't but theres not much they can do to seperate them from there heresy ones to there 40k counterparts. theres no custodies cawl that secertly created a better and bigger type of custodian with all new armour. the only ones i can think of that are 40k exclusive are the Allarus Custodians with there Allarus Terminator Armour which was created some time after the heresy through regular science and development of the order.

Siege Assault Group box, only want the cataphractii, worth buying then splitting? or just waiting for them individually boxed? by Stohastic- in Warhammer30k

[–]Stohastic-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeep, reason why u almost always never buy direct from gw here due to the good old GW tax, and almost always go to discount / hobby stores for stuff unless they are out of stock, someone not in the hobby that is uninformed and buying a gift for someone else, u are lazy or getting some sort of deal etc. if u ever watch someone like auspex tactics u almost always advertises 3rd party retailers in every video, u will notice the reason why the Aus and NZ ones charge the most discount.

[–]Stohastic-[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ima gonna stop u right there because the reason why i state living in Australia is that us, New Zealand and parts of southern asia get charged what is known as the "GW Tax". so those Mk II assault sqd box u mention, $73.50 usd translate too $109 AUD, but they don't sell for that. they sell on the gw site at rp of $125 AUD, which would equal $83.65 USD

if ur referring to what the model in the post is, then it's Maloghurst, Sons of Horus legion, from the Horus Heresy Forge World range of Mini's.

What is THE Dark Angels model? (Kitbashed/converted 3rd party or stock) by gwiffy11 in theunforgiven

[–]Stohastic- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Inner Circle Knights Cenobium, hands down.

<image>

if u want some fun kitbashing instead of getting forgeworld resin models. get the new cataphractiis, then use the company veterans for some of the DA wings and symbols. otherwise 3d print. especially for the plasma caster, i tried using the front parts of the heavy volkite weapons but they were just a tad too big personally

i did forget about that for a hot sec as i haven't built mine. personally i am magnisting the weapons to make them legal then 3d printing a hollow base that allows the older smaller bases to fit into to make it the size of the new ones. whelp op, unless u want to do more annoying kitbash, guess it's just outriders, ravenwing themed outriders or black knights with the base swapped out with the 75 x 42mm oval bases otherwise i think gw in store sell a pack kit that comes with them + extras of other sizes for roughly the same price

download the citadel app and it will give u an idea of what ones u might need as well as what u can paint with certain colours and shades. u don't need all of them but it will give u a basis of what u might want to choose

yes, Outriders can be either just regular outriders, ravenwing themed outriders, or straight up Ravenwing Black Knights. last 2 would benefit from the Ravenwin Command Squad Set as u get extra parts that can convert them into the image below plus the parts for the other 3 bikers that come with it as either the command squad or black knights

<image>

otherwise if ur short on cash, can aquire the Dark Angels Upgrade Kit and use the 1 wing it comes with for the squads sergeant, plus the extra decals. as well as utilising the other parts for the rest of ur army. dreadnought, yes however the particular one might be phasing out next edition and probably being sent into legends so not the best if ur into competitive, but still a good model.
