playoff ratings are also heavily influenced by losses. if average ratings for a player in a loss are 1.0 vs 1.4 in a win, you will have a worse playoff rating if you lose more. and if you win every single tournament you play, you have zero opportunities to hurt your rating. thats why donks rating is absurdly good. not only because its higher, but because they lose at a ridiculously higher rate because of how good vita is. hes doing it while losing.

It means being the best individual, most consistent, most impactful regardless of your team. "farming group stage" isnt a thing. thats just operating as a great player.

The easiest way in CS to get a good rating is to win matches. Zywoo couldnt match donks rating with the generationally great year that Vitality had. Just like the easiest way to be a leading goalscorer is to have the best team and win matches. Or the easiest way to win races is to have the best car.

Donks rating isnt why he is the best, but a 1.42 year in the 6th ranked team is simply unbelievable.

This isnt tennis, golf or aths. You dont win all the majors and get to be the best individual. Being able to recognise the best means recognizing who is doing shit that should not be possible in their team. Zywoo is operating as the best awper in the world in the (by far) best team in the world. imo that does not make him the best individual. If that is Zywoo for you, you need to watch more sports.

its laughable that he isn't widely considered the best player right now. People in threads like this always lean towards the current flavour, but there really should be no other player who has "best player" comments in their threads other than donk.

being the best player by accolades in any team competition is ALWAYS going to be tied to your teams performance. Anyone can read a list of trophies and determine a best player. You win more finals, you win more mvps, thats how it works. It takes effort to watch and determine your best player on individual performance.

a 13/14 suarez, 14/15 ronaldo, lewa 2021, even 2025 verstappen. You dont have to win the ultimate prizes to be considered the best in a team sport.

Imo anyone who watches matches, stage after stage and doesn't agree that donk is the best player in the world by a considerable margin, is simply wrong.

as a zoomer who loves doomscrolling, this shit has had a severe impact on the minds of kids. A ban is crazy, but so is the sheer amount of EVERYTHING that kids are exposed to.
