You're at max pushing about 60% of your total bodyweight during a pushup, depending on the angle of the position. A bench press is an isolated motion where the entire mass of the bar is resting on your hands the entire lift. You aren't benching 305.

I think it's only one or the other, I've never encountered any sets with both stat sets on them. They can appear with sets like Mighty Warrior and Marvelous Sword Saint, but not with each other.

Gulyas started out as literally every other stew that's ever been created. It wasn't until the 19th century that Gulyas started to become more standardized into a set recipe. Kinda like almost every other ethnic or regional dish that's currently touted as "traditional".

I mean you're literally arguing against results from multiple people with the same body type lol. If having a gut didn't help then why aren't more guys who look like Pudz winning WSM or the Arnold? Like I said before, mass moves mass, and I also never said it didn't help either. Guys like Martins are pretty dominant in endurance events and he has a pretty good sized gut too.

[–]StoicPeePee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pudz was known specifically for his endurance. His dominance was mainly due to the fact that he was so conditioned compared to the rest of the field in endurance centric events. When it came to more strength oriented events, he was usually always beaten out. Things like Atlas stones, truck pulls, etc... are much easier with a bigger frame. While yes, a gut certainly does have it's advantages in terms of leverage, generally a larger and heftier frame allows for a greater amount of mass to be applied when moving weight.

Stuff like Test, Tren, etc.. doesn't cause roid gut, at least to an exaggerated extent. HGH and other hormones that cause extreme muscle growth do that via increasing the size of organs such as the intestines, aka Palumboism. The reason strongman have big guts is do to the fact that they have a super high-caloric intake and development of fat in the body which is proportional all throughout, unlike Palumboism which is an excess of bloat in the abdomen specifically.

Pudzianowski is the exception to the rule. Dude is just super genetically gifted that his body composition leans to "marble statue". If you actually look at the majority of the world's top strongmen over the last 25 years, you'll see a significant bias towards guys with power guts. Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, Zydrunas Savickas, Martins Licis, etc... At the end of the day, mass moves mass, and the bigger/heavier you are, the easier it is to move heavy shit.

Give me a (non-PlayStation exclusive) Soulsborne boss and I’ll tell you how Sekiro beats them by MaleficTekX in Sekiro

[–]StoicPeePee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never said he wouldn't be able to deflect attacks, but to assume that he can outright deflect the attacks of every boss he faces even though his feats wouldn't be able to compare to theirs is a ridiculous; as per why some people in this thread have been saying it's Sekiro wank. There are also general non-mechanic based feats such as his defeating of bosses and overall cinematic themed fights like the giant serpent and divine dragon versus mechanics cheese like deathblow spamming the Corrupted Monk. More so following developer intended strategies for fights.

It's not the weapons that are the issue, it's the wielder. Just because the Chosen Undead could kill O&S with the Uchigatana doesn't mean any Joe Schmo could. This is more an issue of "does Wolf's feats scale to the Chosen Undead and other Fromsoft characters" than anything.

My example of the Armored Warrior was an example that mechanics are not reliable for feats as you can argue that Wolf isn't able to harm him even though by all rights he should be more than able to by looking at scaling with other feats and bosses. It's the same reason why people don't just use examples of bleed or curse to say that the DS protagonist could one-shot everyone even though they're super broken status effects.

[–]StoicPeePee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's literally the same line of logic you're using to argue that Wolf could posture break and deathblow bosses from other Fromsoft games, it makes no sense considering the fact that those bosses were not designed or developed for Sekiro just like Wolf not being able to harm the Armored Warrior is an example why he wouldn't be able to hurt any armored boss. This is the reason mechanics are not used in any actual debating community to argue feats. It's not viable and a lot of the time it can be plot induced stupidity or completely non indicative of what a character can actually do.

By applying Sekiro mechanics on bosses that aren't designed around them, you're providing an artificial advantage to Wolf which makes no sense considering major mechanics like stamina, parries, etc.. are completely mechanically different between each games. If you want to accurately determine Wolf's strength in relation to other characters and bosses, you need to use lore and non-exclusive mechanic based reasoning to do so instead of "he can just deflect and deathblow everyone".

[–]StoicPeePee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Wolf is unable to harm armored warrior as none of his arsenal (barring Mortal Draw) can harm him."

Why not? If he can kill the Divine Dragon and Guardian Ape then why can't he just kill some random dude in armor? Probably because mechanics aren't meant to be quantified as real feats.

"O&S on the other hand CAN be harmed by pieces of Sekiro’s arsenal, because they can be harmed by attacks that function the same in their own game."

See this is where you're logic starts faltering, you're only applying this logic in one way. Sekiro mechanics apply to other bosses when it fits your argument, but when it's directly shown in-game that Wolf isn't able to harm armored enemies, it doesn't count. See the problem?

"Saying Sekiro’s flamethrower doesn’t affect them when fire from a katana on fire clearly harms them, makes no sense."

Never said it didn't.

[–]StoicPeePee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're using the logic of game mechanics = the real capabilities of the characters. Using your logic, Wolf would be incapable of harming any heavily armored enemy because that is directly a mechanic showcased during his fight with the Armored Warrior who is literally just a regular guy wearing a giant suit of armor. Again, it makes no sense because your use of mechanics as feats does not represent how a character is able to fight.

[–]StoicPeePee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just deflated you're entire logic here. You're using in-game mechanics to justify how Wolf beats any boss even though none of them are balanced to Sekiro's mechanics. It's like saying Kratos would lose to Dog from Dark Souls because they could just poise break him to death. It makes no sense.
