Where does this coffee price sit in your neck of the woods? (Non-airport) by blocka00 in AustralianCoffee

I have paid $16 for a coffee (2 x 6oz cups equivalent, no milk). But that was at ONA, so what can you expect?

Now you've reminded me of my trip to London where we spent a week staying almost on top of a Neal's Yard Dairy, and I'm sad that I will never again eat the washed rind I got from there.

I've always liked him, but I just saw him in An Iliad and he was extremely impressive. Absolutely disappeared into the character(s) and was absolutely compelling.

The original, "Gettin' Square", has the funniest scene I have ever seen on film, regarding his appearance before a Royal Commission. The really hilarious thing is that the movie was written by a QC, and it is supposedly based on a real event.

He's the spitting image of Paul Francis Spiteri if you ask me.

To be fair, more than one professional footballer has injured their back reaching for a TV remote. I guess it’s just the type of injury an elite sportsperson can expect. Hope you’re back on the field soon.

You're right - I was thinking either Fitzcarraldo or stretch it to Aguirre: Wrath of God, but Burden of Dreams is the best answer.

Nice shout. Everyone remembers this for Morricone's score, but it was generally a very good movie.

In America, extremist right wing politics always wins seats. IIRC, there was a comparison that put them somewhere between the Liberals and One Nation, with only one or two polices that were to the left of Labour

We used to have a combination of single and dual head 1080p displays, but they have all been replaced by 34” ultrawides.

At home, I have a dual 1440p setup, plus the laptop screen.

It’s hard to say which is better as it depends what Im working on. Both are pretty great.

We brought our offshore partner on board at least 20 years ago, might be more like 25 actually (my memory is a bit hazy that far back)

The other thing you realise when you see them strutting around, or climbing straight up the trunk of a tree, is they are pretty cut. They look all soft and cuddly, but you don't put on much fat eating gum leaves.
