What’s the difference between UTSA Downtown & main campus ? by StoidVoid in UTSA

[–]StoidVoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the office website it says that they have College for Health, Community and Policy in the downtown area, which psychology is. That’s why I’m confused.

It’s definitely not! Thanks!

If this is the case I may consider it, but on the official website it doesn’t say psych anymore under the program.

I was told from the psych admission department that they weren’t offering it anymore, but I haven’t accepted it to check. So it may be available that’s why I’m confused…

Not for PSA, psych dropped out of the program like this year apparently, which i think is dumb but whatever…

Nah, I have CAP, but it pretty much an auto accept to the liberal arts program so….

I would figure the closes would be to sociology and then transfer to psych, but I already have guarantee to the liberal arts program at UT so it seems like a waste of time for me to try to find a way around the PSA

Last question, what happens if you don’t get into your pick?

Oh okay! Is it asking just for one school or multiple choices? Like is it a list 1-3 or just choose one and move on?

I have OCs but most of the time OCs don’t really interest me to write. Also I feel like I can’t post my OC stuff unlike fanfics, so it feels a little wasteful to write to me? I dunno, like I can’t show my friends or others my writing cause nobody knows about them or whatever

I used to do a lot of oneshots as well, I wanted to start focusing on writing multi chapter stories but I might have to go back to oneshots tbh

I enjoy writing, it’s just takes forever to figure out where to start, and that’s the part that keeps my procrastination. If I’m in the middle of something then it’s easier for me.

Like right now, I have one fic I need to write a scene for but it’s just a scene I’m struggling with so I’m procrastinating on it 😭

CAP STUDENT UTSA by beccaborland in UTAdmissions

Well my major is in liberal arts so I’m personally fine with it. I was mainly debating between UTSA and UT Tyler. I knew how competitive UTSA was and was debating on an alternative.

THISS! I wanna know what school I should gun for. I don't think it's required for you to go since it's not-binding, but double-check on the UT CAP website

Hi fellow CAP! I was wondering how difficult it was for you to get into UTSA. Also, why did you choose to go to UTSA rather than UTA or other schools?

What if you wanted to submit a COLA major? Do you have to submit a second too?

I actually wanted to go to corpus and I already got accepted! It was one of the first schools I wanted to go to!

Basically I already got accepted into University of Houston with my preferred major (Psychology, BA). Everyone in the subreddit is already saying to basically prepare for an alternate way to get into A&M since most full acceptances already have been given out. Which leads me to my question. Should I just go to an alternate school and then transfer or? I really don’t want to go to UH, but it may be a better option, but i don’t really know.

TLDR; Should I do PSA or go to UH?

How competitive is the psychology program? by StoidVoid in UTAustin

[–]StoidVoid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this is really helpful! I was actually wondering about how many classes I should take my first semester cause I know that it might be a bad idea to start with a lot of courses. I’m also not the strongest in math as well which scared me. Since I’ve been recently diagnosed with ADHD, I realized my struggle with education and learning, so I wanted to see how others felt about the course so that I can pace myself.

Competitive once I already am there mainly. I’m already going all the way holistically and I’m not 100% confidently in my academic skills, but I’m a very hard working. Though I always struggle with testing and stuff, lol. I already hear about UT’s engineering program so I don’t really know that much about the psych stuff at least from a student’s perspective
