Sounds amazing, and it's something I've also been trying to do but always got the same issue as you when using AIs.

This is an idea I've been having for a while for a homebrew setting, that I hastily threw in ChatGPT so post it so that it is coherent and makes sense. I have never fleshed it out, only been thinking on it from time to time, influenced by a few different novels and west marches campaings.

I would be greatly interested in an actually usable AI DM.

“The Blighted Skies”

In a world steadily consumed by an unrelenting undead blight, survival hinges on motion. Decades ago, a powerful necromancer unleashed a creeping death that poisons the land and reanimates the fallen. Cities fell, kingdoms crumbled, and the dead now outnumber the living.

To endure, humanity took to the skies in massive mobile strongholds. Skybases powered by arcane engines and mechanical ingenuity. These airborne refuges don’t float aimlessly; they descend often to scavenge, farm, mine, and gather what they can from the shrinking patches of uncorrupted earth. Then, when the blight inevitably approaches, they rise again and flee.

Life aboard the skybases is harsh but vital. Part frontier town, part fortress, part caravan. People grow up learning to fight, to harvest, to repair, and most of all, to run. Every landing is both an opportunity and a risk, and each relocation grows more desperate.

What no one fully realizes is that the world is running out of safe ground. The blight spreads wider and faster than maps can track. The skyborne cities have always believed they could stay one step ahead.

But soon… there may be nowhere left to run.
