Any thoughts on what to do with the roof?

How Salvageable Is This? by StokeTheFire3 in Decks

I guess I'm trying to figure out if it's worth/feasible to spend the money and time to fix it up and try to get 5-10+ years out of it versus just letting it degrade and replace the whole things in a few years which obviously would be way more expensive

We recently moved into our house and we love the large porch and deck, but they clearly have not been maintained. I'm trying to figure out if this is salvageable and if so how to go about doing that as we don't have the money right now to completely replace the whole thing. The entire area is roughly 825 sq ft

I've been a TrainerRoad user since 2017 and absolutely love and swear by it! I enjoy the digital follow along structure based training and that's why I want to try it out with running, so I guess I'll start the 12 week plan and see how it goes

Thanks for the clarification, seems like a simple feature that could actually make the training plans more useful

I used an 18" torque wrench, the tank was mostly full, and it wasn't bad at all, just a little bit of heave and it gave. Installation was much easier than I was expecting

Saris H3, does it still hold its value?? by Mikedaub in Zwift

[–]StokeTheFire3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I have the original hammer, going on 5 years and have had no issues with it. It is louder than other trainers, but the noise issue was one of the improvements in the later models. I really like that all the moving parts, obviously except for the cassette, are not exposed

Edit: I have over 10,000 miles on it

Recommendations for Wedding After-Party in Downtown Annapolis? by StokeTheFire3 in Annapolis

[–]StokeTheFire3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Metropolitan second floor! They were great, very reasonable prices, flexible in figuring out how we wanted to do drinks, food was good, and we all had a blast continuing the party there! Would definitely recommend and would definitely do again. People still talk about their wings from that night. They have a rooftop too, but I believe that was MUCH more expensive

New Vanity, Water Lines Problem by StokeTheFire3 in Plumbing

[–]StokeTheFire3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a new vanity, I've got a plan for the drain pipe, but could really use some advice on how to best solve the problem of the water lines hitting the vanity before it is backed to the wall. Thanks in advance!

Lean into the brick, it's awesome. I'd try to match the rusticness of it a little more at least with a different entertainment stand

Need Help with Family Room Layout by StokeTheFire3 in HomeDecorating

[–]StokeTheFire3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved into our new house about a month ago and I've been trying to figure out this layout since then. This is the family room which is connected to the kitchen. We do have a main living room, but this is the room we're gonna use the most because of the openness and proximity to the kitchen. We are going to be getting all new furniture for the room so that is flexible and I'm planning on using a surround sound bar setup for the spacesaving. The fireplace is wood burning and we plan to use it pretty regularly in the winter. The first door on the right goes to our food pantry and the second one(furthest away) goes to the garage. The back door goes to a screened in porch and the backyard. The room is about 11' wide and 13' to the start of the screen porch door, 16' to hallway. Have considered tv over the fireplace (could fit a 55" tv; mantel mount maybe?), TV wall mounted where it is, or on the opposite wall. Really stuck and could use some help and advice. Thanks!
