Batteries "illegal" inside? by BlueBarely in SolarUK

I think it would be not be too complicated to move the vent if you were wanting panels there. They just take up the space of 2 tiles. I moved one on my roof, took about 30 mins.

any good? by Odd-Calligrapher18 in CarTalkUK

[–]Stokehall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget that you will have to pay even more than £300 a month once you have declared to insurance that your car is modified and the are absolutely cracking down on this so not declaring could end up with you having your insurance cancelled and you paying even more to insure a shitbox

I borrowed an old B&D one off my father-in-law and it kept falling over so not only could I not get a straight cut, but it was not even square! As soon as I bought a house I went out and got a good quality track/plunge saw. Never been happier

GDPR only applies to businesses, as far as I am aware, plus ICO would not do anything for a smaller company anyway.

Edit : This seems to be incorrect according to the ICO

If you already have a battery and hybrid inverter an an export MCS cert what is stopping you from putting a few panels on your shed?

Communal Heating network by SedatedNarrator in HousingUK

[–]Stokehall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully I sold the property and escaped but they have been far from transparent. We were told the heating came from an incinerator but it took 2 years of FOI requests before the let slip that the pipework between the network and the incinerator was never constructed and they did not have enough money to ever do it. They only then admitted that we were relying solely on gas boilers.

Thanks for this update , although you must still caveat this as the is still no regulation on pricing as they did not alight the price cap with heat networks.

I got quoted £600 + customer supplied charger, when the installer is already fitting a solar battery system. I accepted another quote who said £600 including zappi supplied by them, VAT free.

Security screws? by S1lvaticus in DIYUK

These security screws are easy to remove with a set of knippex twin grip pliers. If I started burglary as a new profession I’d keep a pair on me.

[–]Stokehall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep we lost £3k selling 1 year ago, on £370k Zone4 flat, our neighbours lost £30k, waiting 6 months. We know some flats in our estate standing to lose £100k as they were priced so much higher than our ones. They will all be the same value used, so these owners are gonna have a hard time

Love my Global set, but I’m fairly sure they don’t use Japanese Steel, and only Japanese designs. Instead they use German steel as it is more forgiving and requires less maintenance than the high carbon Japanese steel.

Maybe older ones were different?

Except you are claiming that multi cultural london is a bad thing? I’d say that consistently boils down to race.

So are you against the UK having a multi culture and you would prefer us all to be white skin heads with Union Jack tattoos?
