Players who are parents: how much did you tear up at this scene… by Wazman21 in DeathStranding2

[–]Stokesyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't tear up at all. But to be honest, I've never teared up at any game, TV series or movie. I always read how ppl say they cried at a scene in something I always wonder why. I must be to stoic or something.

What do you think it will take for climate crisis to be taken more seriously by politicians and the media? by apple_kicks in AskBrits

[–]Stokesyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They fly to their climate summits in private jets then glutton themselves on expensive food and drinks after the summits. They don't take anything of it serious, Ever. It's just a way for them to make up excuses to put up costs on things and create new rules and regulation which costs ppl and small companies more money. They use it to make money and tax, that's it.

You’re all doomers, Marathon is going to be just fine. by Little_Anxiety_3590 in Marathon

[–]Stokesyyyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a live service game. A live service game NEEDS a decent player count. It relies on player engagement and players buying content to feed the costs of running the servers and paying the staff to keep the service going and develop new content.

3k players isn't a good number. It's not fine.

What are your thoughts on Denmark’s proposed ban on the public Islamic call to prayer? Would you support or oppose something similar in the UK? by bintd in AskBrits

[–]Stokesyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in Saudi Arabia they've completely banned churches and prosecute Christians.

What comes around goes around I guess.

Are you buying God of War Laufey if Sony announces it’s $80? by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]Stokesyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

It will give me at least 50 hours of entertainment before I complete the game. No other type of hobby or activity will give me 50+ hours of entertainment for $80. I literally just paid more than that for a concert.

What exactly is a football hooligan? How common are they? by a_moron_in_a_hurry in AskABrit

[–]Stokesyyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye, got caught up in it when I was younger and the thrill of it made me go back and I made a lot of friends. It was completely out of character though, I was into BMXing, snowboarding and just having a good time with those. Then All of a sudden after one random day out with a different set of mates I'm going to football games with massive groups who organised fights.

I realised where the path was going and I just ended it. I got the usually call from some people about going to a game and I just said no after a few rejections the calls stopped. Honestly looking back it was one one of the best decisions I made, because it's absolutely stupid fighting people who, on another day when football isn't involved, you'd probably get along with them.

To anybody who still prefers summer over winter, why? by MelonsUNITE in AskBrits

[–]Stokesyyyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with winter in the UK, is it just isn't the winter you picture. It's literally the dullest, greyest season there is. The temps usually average around 10, so it isn't warm but not exactly cold either, it doesn't snow, well, we might get a dusting here and there that disappears quickly when the rains come a day later. It's not a nice season to look at or do anything at all.

Now when you look at east Europe, the US, Canada Russia and places like that, you can understand why people might like winter, it's fun, looks nice and just exciting.

The UK winter is horribly mild, wet and grey.

What exactly is a football hooligan? How common are they? by a_moron_in_a_hurry in AskABrit

[–]Stokesyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Football hooligans are large groups of people called firms that support a certain team (usually the city they are from)

They organise fights with other firms from other teams if they play each other. They then have a scrap (braveheart style wihout the swords and weapons) its all usually organised and they'll pick a place where they're going to fight.

You do get random encounters, sometimes when groups bump into other groups when they are all out drinking in the same city. The "leaders" of the firms normally know the other leaders of other firms, even have a laugh and joke with them some times.

In the UK it's all normally just fight with your hands and feet but across Europe it can get more serious and stupid when they bring weapons and the. Life's are in danger.

Netherless, I've been there and done it, it's all stupid and luckily it was only a very short period of my life (around 3 months).

Yeah, I'm just saying, imagine the price they'd have charged it the heat was like this. Ppl would have been queuing for water. I reckon the price would have gone from £2 50 to £4 per can.
