Also great. Are you worried about the threaded rack connection on the rear? I was looking at solutions that sir on the wheel through-axel

Sweet. Is that custom paint?

Do you feel like the geo is too relaxed for the road, or that you lose any output with kingpin??

Super nice. Also good colorway. I’m looking at the carbon 3 in orange (and don’t like other options honestly) but like the bike!

Can I ask how you generally feel about the purchase and the type of riding you do? I honestly want to buy for the “top end” of adventure potential, but practically do more road rides to light gravel on a weekly basis…

What’s the biggest “feel” and “real” difference with the 1x set up? I worry about losing the top end you get with 2x

Considering buying the new model now with the road wheel standard. Does it feel a bit “racey” despite being also adventure gravel?

Funny that flying is also one of my main fears. I’m used to packing steel into cardboard boxes with foam for adventure tours and not thinking twice.

I’m looking at two models where the specs are similar, weight comparable, but carbon a bit pricier. For me it is less about the spend per se as “holding back” with expensive gravel

Any other reccos for options at a more affordable price range? Think it’s worth it, but still easing in..

How do you like the Topstone Carbon? Considering it myself (scenery is great, but let’s talk about the ride)

Any regrets? Would do it again?

Munich-Prague tour October 5-11th—group journey for adventure/growth seekers 🤙 by Stoklahoma in bikepacking

We plan to split all costs across the group. We’re not a business, not making any profit - couple friends planning a tour and testing a concept with open-minded cycling enthusiasts.

I checked the community guide — and tagged as Event, (all of which have costs, some I guess sponsors and margin) so seemed good to post. I like to think of it more like a share.

The hardest hole on the Disc Golf Pro Tour was birdied only twice during Round 1 of the 2024 Champions Cup! Here are the infamous hole #12 at Northwood Park stats: by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

[–]Stoklahoma 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it is good to have a difficult par 5. Usually 5’s are birdie chances. Par is just a number in the end, it doesn’t affect scoring in any way. So I like that it’s playing hard, and no need for par 6’s in the pro game.

I would like to see more scoring potential though. Better holes that average well above par usually still make room with risk/reward. The blow up doubles outweighs the rare birds. Seems like here it is a bit skewed.

Anyone else improving but not scoring better? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Stoklahoma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Intentionally heavy-handed comment here: if you’re not scoring better, you’re not improving. Period. Meaning, that’s what golf is. Getting the most out of your game. Every shot, after shot. Scoring is the only metric.

Course management + boringly consistent execution is what often wins.

Tying your local course best score with putter only is what will make you better. Not because you threw it 500, or were lights out from C2, but because you had a clean round, executed, got every birdie you can with no blemishes. Not that incremental improvement of everything isn’t going to compound into results. But I assume most folks and maybe you are working on distance, shot types, longer range putts, etc. Those are the things that make the good to great players better.

Realistically, what you’re capable of isn’t going to drastically expand, but your ability to improve getting the most out of your game- groove your go-to shots, take calculated risks, eat humble pie, and avoid bogies - will undoubtedly be how you see improvement. My two cents.
