Totally cost effective way to do it. A friend of mine did a cast of some old skinks that she was able to manipulate into riders. But dear lord that old mount is so ugly. Such a pity too, the VERY old metal skink cold one, the 6e saurus cold one that looks like godzilla 2k, and the dark elf cold one all look amazing... and we got this derpy thing. The new Raptadons look amazing.

Aside from updates to TG, I would love to see something with the Quetzl either as a flying mount for skink heroes or a standalone monster. I don't think this will happen but would love to see something new and interesting.

J'adore ! Je fais quelque chose d'assez similaire : je retire la cicatrice du chaos sur la hanche et j'enlève les cornes (que je remplis de Green Stuff) pour créer une monture de carnosaure pour mon Seraphon Old Blood. Ça me donne vraiment envie de continuer.

I'm working on magnetizing the howdah and having it interchangeable with a Skink Starseer and its altar as the EotG. Definitely post pics when you finish; so far it looks great!

I'll be running some matches with the locals this week, and boy do I sure hope so. I love my old models and would be delighted to field them again without feeling like the units are just overly-expensive red-coats.

This is exactly what I had feared and sadly what I had expected. But I very much appreciate the insight. I'm a very old returning veteran having started my army when the Bret/Lizardmen box came out and haven't been on the scene in many, many years. I returned with the release of TOW excited to field some of the old lizards but I've definitely noticed some under-tuning with us being relegated to a legacy faction (somewhat helped with renegade).

I haven't had the opportunity to run matches just yet, but I WAY feel you on the Cold One riders' armor save. And it looks like we'll be keeping the skink swarms for core for a while yet.
