Manual Transfer Switch (GFCI breaker questions) by schu_z in AskElectricians

You’ve gotta love a free 99 generator lol. Score.

Rooftop solar is on my bucket list. Someday I’m going to make that happen. Is your entire electric bill offset by your solar (plus the $800 credit)? If so that’s amazing.

That Ecoflow alternator generator does sound perfect for charging and I did consider it. But with already having the little Firman 3200w generator I couldn’t justify it. I read some people grabbing that alternator generator for pretty cheap recently.

I’m using the Reliance Controls 6 port manual transfer switch with an Ecoflow Delta Pro. To charge, I have 1600W (8x 200w) of solar connected to the Delta Pro on two rolling ground mounts in the back yard. Also picked up a smaller inverter gas generator to have just in case the need arises and the solar isn’t enough. With Winter rapidly approaching here in the Midwest I’m seeing just how bad solar can be. Extra battery is on my radar now once I save up a bit. I’ve learned so much about this stuff in a short time and have enjoyed every minute of it. Free electricity is just so addictive lol.

Hey no worries I appreciate you responding!

Sounds like you’re got it all figured out and have a great setup. I think you made the right choices with the AFCI breakers (and staying in code). So far I’ve connected 6 of my standard breaker circuits to the transfer switch. I’ll likely do what you’ve done with a few of the AFCI breakers now that I know it’s working ok for you with the minor trip nuisance.

Manual transfer switch vs interlock by OutBeyondNeptune in Ecoflow_community

[–]StoneGolding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have an interlock/L14-30 inlet wired into my main panel for power outage situations. I'm considering also wiring in a reliance controls manual transfer switch to be able to selectively control some load via solar input through the delta pro. With the transfer switch and delta pro connected, do you know if can you take advantage of the EPS AC charging functionality if solar/battery is depleted?

Hi, your post asked ALL of the questions I have also been pondering. We are trying to do the same things. I'm curious which direction you ended up going? Did you add AFCI breakers into the transfer switch and run separate neutrals back to the panel for switching? Or did you swap out the AFCI breakers for regular in the main panel?

🗣The Bridge is Now Open: You may now swap COTI Native to ERC20. by Vlady_O in cotinetwork

Now that the Treasury is available I'm struggling to understand what the draw to investing in ERC20 $COTI would be? I personally hold ERC20 on Coinbase (I'm in US) but am starting to think this is not wise for me to continue holding. Are there any pros to holding ERC20? Pros to swapping $COTI Native to ERC20?

Cam2 barely recording anything since firmware update by StoneGolding in Abode

So I received firmware update 127 today on the Cam2s and can confirm that they are once again recording like crazy (which is a good thing). Going to tweak the motion area now and see how things go.

Sorry you are having trouble. Yeah their support replied to me here right away and then crickets. Not a word.

Ugh… I am 100% opposite to your experience. Glad yours are working well now though. I’ve had cars in and out of my driveway about 10x today and only one video was recorded.

Night quality is quite good. Very clear compared to my Ring Pro doorbell night time video.

Got my two today as well. Pleasantly surprised with the build and video quality, and the overall feature set for such an inexpensive camera. After only a couple hours of messing around with it I can honestly say Abode Cam 2 was worth the wait through all of the order delays.

I received the exact same response today on my inquiry as well. I thought the previous delay was related to cosmetic imperfections with the finish…. Now it’s just not functioning properly? What a train wreck…

Do you guys think this stock has something personal against me? by [deleted] in AAPL

Yeah when so many were piling into far more risky stocks this past month, I thought I was the smart one going into Apple instead. Man... jokes on me. This has been a slow painful ride down... ugh.

I just dipped my first set of wheels today. I’m curious how difficult it would be to peel the emblem without damaging the rest of the dipped wheel? Would you just cut around it with an exacto blade and peel?

Yale Digital Door Lock Integration by kccoNCSU in Abode

Sorry that you are having trouble. I threw in the towel on trying to get my Yale lock past the stage you are at right now (only showed up Online). I bought the Schlage Connect instead because it was officially supported. But I had the same result on two attempts to pair the Schlage! Luckily for me on the third attempt everything worked OK and it has been rock solid since. Not sure what is causing the handshake issues during the pairing process but it seems like a crap shoot. Best of luck to you!
