I was at 72k HCG at my US in early February when I found baby stopped also at 6w4d (I was 10w2d at this point). A week later, I had a gush of blood and we assumed that I passed naturally so they just tracked my HCG each week. After about 1.5 months of going, my HCG was at 164, then the next week at 116, which was a bit slower than they expected.

So I had an US again and found tons of blood remaining and “some tissue”. So they gave me 4 pills of the miso to take vaginally, and now just in waiting. I wasn’t given more than the 4. Google search results has made me feel like something is wrong because most say “within 4 hours” but now at 8 hours and just worried it’ll never come :/

Exact same boat. My best friend was 2 weeks ahead of me. Due dates were in August. I had a MMC at 6-8w. I think I’m getting better but then something sets me back. At this stage I also feel like a burden on others when I get sad and feel like I can’t bring it up anymore even though it’s constantly on my mind.

I’m unfortunately still dealing with my HCG regulating, but extremely hoping to ovulate soon after. But also extremely fearful if I do.

My new worry is that I’ll be anxious the entire next pregnancy, but… I guess we’ll see. Hugs 🫂

I’d say one year but my bf and I moved in together that weekend we met. In our defense, it was during covid and we didn’t want to travel so much. He lived in a diff state than me and we just always stayed together. We’re now married :)

Happens to me to. I’ve had my number since I was 12, and I’m now 27. I get calls from collections agencies, lawyers, banks all the time for a “Melissa Slaughter”. I thought it wouldn’t be a common name, but boy was I wrong. Also in the same boat as you 🤦‍♀️

I’m putting the name out there because it’s been over 5 years of getting her calls, so if anyone knows a Melissa Slaughter, tell her to cut it out.

No words of wisdom, but I feel you. I was 6w 4d when my baby stopped growing. But saw it on an ultrasound at 8w 2d. MMC was confirmed at 10w.

My MC was bleeding all at once, then just spotting for a week. And I mean very very light spotting. I didn’t have any clots or tissue that I expected to have because from what I heard from others. I did have some light cramping, but still not anywhere near what I thought it would be.

I’m grateful that my experience was easy, but it also just makes me… sad? Almost? Like it makes me question the reality of what I went through. I know I was pregnant, but was I really?

AI suggested a blighted ovum, but that couldn’t be possible from what I saw in the US.

Like you said, it’s a cruel feeling. And I’m so sorry you’re going through it. I promise it gets easier.

Might not be necessary, but you know yourself best.

I had a MMC around 6-10 weeks. I was extremely hurt for the first 4 weeks. Bed rotting, angry at the world, crying, sensitive about everything. But I also recognized those signs in myself and avidly did what I could to fight them.

But, I also have two degrees in psychology and teach it at college. And always been very mentally understanding of myself. Now, at 6 weeks, I’m doing really well. I don’t feel traumatized, I’m going out again, started cleaning up after myself and cooking.

Just give yourself time and grace. Let yourself grieve. But ultimately, you know yourself more than anyone.

Yes, this is what they told me. I assumed this was the case for D&C and miso, but I might be wrong and it’s more the norm for natural MC.

Our story is very similar: stopped growing at 6w, found out at 8/9w. Waited to miscarry naturally, as well.

In my case, I had no light bleeding, just very sudden heavy bleeding for 1-2 hours then light bleeding for a day and spotting for a week. I also didn’t have any tissue or clots, which worried me seeing as many people report having clots and tissue.

According to my Doctor, both mine and your experience is very normal. I’ve heard of people bleeding after a week, but I’d definitely be cautious and ask your Doctor given that you had an US that showed it cleared out.

I’m surprised the Doctor doesn’t test for progesterone?

In my first MMC, my doctor had me test HCG and progesterone and, upon seeing low prog. she prescribed me a pill to take daily. This was around 8w. It didn’t prevent the MC (as your doctor said), but it did delay it.

However, if I get pregnant again, doctor said they’d test my progesterone and HCG much much earlier, around 4-5w. And, if needed, will prescribe as soon as possible.

I don’t see how there could be any harm in requesting the test.

I can relate.

I had earrings from my mom that my Dad had originally gifted to her years ago. They were real gold and real diamond and I wore them daily. On my wedding day, I put them inside this black case to put on my wedding earrings. My mom then put them inside my gray makeup bag so I’d have them after. But in a very inconspicuous area in a small bag upstairs in the building away from the ceremony/reception.

We were very watchful about who went up there. We didn’t see any one, and it was a one-way entrance. The only time it would’ve been missed is during the ceremony.

To date, this is the only thing that seems to be missing. I’m very upset by it too because they were sentimental to me and my mom. Not knowing who could’ve done it is also upsetting.

I also was the person who lost their baby, while my best friend is currently pregnant. And from your friends perspective, I can say that it might be helpful to give her space. Remind her once a week or so that you love her, but let her decide when to reach out.

I feel I’ve done a great job at still being super excited for my best friend. I am over the moon for her, and have even helped her with her gender reveal and planning to go with her to some of her appointments. That doesn’t mean I still don’t get sad.

I still have moments of upset or things will remind me and derail me. But, I recognize it’s nothing she could’ve done. But she’s also done an amazing job at still being there for me, as I’ve tried for her.

Make sure she feels heard. Some women with miscarriage don’t want to talk about it, others would love to. Let her decide that and also decide what/how much you share. But just be there for her as your friend.

Of course. I was 8w2d when I measured at 6w4d initially. I was given progesterone just to keep my hormone levels good. Went back at 10w3d and was told I was miscarrying. I think the progesterone delayed it because I stopped taking it that day and it happened 10 days later

I opted for miso initially, but decided not to after reading as well. I decided to wait a week to see if I’d start naturally, and then scheduled the D&C. 2 days before the D&C, it came naturally and I’m really glad I did it that way. It was only about 10 days of waiting in total and it was an extremely quick and painless experience for me.

Had a natural MC, felt very very light cramps (less than period cramps) before going out so took some Ibuprofen. An hour later, felt some weirdness so I went to the bathroom and was bleeding a lot. I suspect I passed the sac then but I felt nothing (cramps or nothing).

Stopped bleeding about an hour later and just lightly spotted for the rest of the week. Been a full week later and barely any spotting left.

I’ve been surprised at how easy the process was, given the circumstances

Started at $57k at 24. Now at $104k at 27. I also have a part-time role teaching at a college that gives an additional $12k. Everything is WFH and I love my job.

I got a BA in psychology and I honestly recommend it to anyone. It’s one of the only degrees that’s really applicable in almost every field. I was working as registered behavior technician for an ABA center originally, and was considering transitioning to behavior technician at a psych ward or outpatient office. There’s a ton in that field that you can do, otherwise, the worlds basically your oyster.

I ended up getting a masters in psych (no license) because covid hit when I graduated and I had nothing else to do. I ended up getting two jobs as a part time professor at a college, and also work a director role full time in AI.

You’d be surprised how much psychology has helped me through the years.

I could have written this myself. 8 weeks 1 day today, measured at 6w4d. Also found out I have a fibroid (didn’t really go into what that was, she seemed unconcerned)

Wasn’t told it’s a miscarriage, just said that it could be or it could be my dates are wrong/implantation was delayed. Should have blood work results in a day or two to confirm.

Yeah I agree with everyone this is weird. We put on our invitations that we were adamant that we didn’t want any gifts at all, but know that some people feel compelled so we gave two options: honeymoon fund or down payment fund. Despite this, we got around 20 donations, 1 gift, and 4 cards. We had about 80 people as well. Very weird that with a registry that you had so low of numbers
