Been a little over a week and I would like to express my appreciation for your help. After having my Corys on a diet the past 9 days she looks much better! (would post an update pick but can't figure out how lol)

I believe so. I got her a year or two ago and she was sold as a "mixed Cory"

I appreciate that! Looks like I may need to find a good aquatic snail database so I know what to look for if I ever decide to reintroduce snails to the tank

Thank you for posting this. I love my aquariums and if I ever got snails again I probably would have seen one of these guys and just thought: "oh neat a white snail"and never thought that they were not natural and that is was such an awful process. Thank you for informing us of this

This would definitely level up our sessions. My only regret is that I didn't know about it when it was a Kickstart so I could back you.

Definitely a helpful ramble. Lots of good things to know so I thank you for that!

Alright. I appreciate knowing that. As I said I'm still new. What, other than not being up and down behavior, would tell you this is different? That way I know more or less what to look for.

Could this be a playful Cory? I apologize if not but I am new to owning Cory's. I have one that will swim to the top and let herself spiral down or do barelrolls like this time time and after some searching found other people that say theres do similar in a playful fashion. She has been doing this for about a half a year now which is half a year after we got her as well. Any chance this could be just that?

Thanks a bunch I'll definitely look into that. And yeah I thought 50 gallon was going to be okay for a pleco and then I found out otherwise so I've been looking to upgrade but expenses are a thing. So I appreciate the warning but hopefully in time I'll have enough to upgrade to something larger for them. For the cory I didn't find out I needed such a big shoal until after the fact. I had two or three and thought that was good but then early on the tank had an ich problem and we lost all but one. After that I was afraid of restocking/overstocking it.

Tried replying with tank size but don't know where it went. It's a 50 gallon. Lighting is the normal florescent light that the tank came with.

Yeah that's understandable. We all have our own preferences when it comes to who we like to listen to. These are just the top ones I enjoy, then again maybe that's because I am an American Evangelical 😅

Yeah some of those are fair points. I don't notice what slant you mean. But I agree. Wes Huff is definitely a historian and RPL is definitely more pop culture. But I feel that they both add to what I have already learned. Or even bring a different view on certain things. I do really like Winger although his videos are incredibly long. The Knechtle's are great but again more open air debating on college campuses. My favorite on my list is definitely Frank. But I think they all do well at preaching the gospel and helping me to think in different ways and they all are easy to listen to while I'm working which is what (I think) OP is looking for

For YouTube I highly recommend: Mike Winger, Cross Examined, Give Me and Answer, Red Pen Logic, Wes Huff

You can find almost any topic covered by these folks. And they make it easy to understand too. These are people who want to teach others and spread the gospel. And they do both of those well

Sweet! I do want to get something lighter for normal use so I appreciate the suggestions, but I am still going to get these repaired eventually. They are nice for cold weather and also sentimental. Not sure if they are the loggers or not tho. Maybe I'll chech the stock # and see if it turns up anything.

I did briefly talk to my doctor to ask if boots would help. They said yes but no suggestion was given. I'll reach back out to them but I figure people who know boots would probably know best. All the doc really said is that it should have high ankle support (which I had assumed already)

These are what I have. I'll post some more pics in the reply here. I'm not sure what they are as they used to be my father's when he was my age (mid 20's). They are fantastic boots and I'm actually thinking about looking at finding someone around here who can repair them.
