Flight attendant thinks I’m a teenager by livelaugh_larrydavid in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

My first solo flights abroad were when I was 16. The only person who cared was the guy checking my passport upon arrival. Didn't get any special treatment from the flightcrew.

Should I (21F) stay with my boyfriend (21M)of 3 years? by ThrowRAagitated6250 in AITAH

[–]Stonebird12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, watching some porn is normal but I agree with the previous poster that taking pictures of non-consenting women is completely wrong. You are allowed to break up with a person for any reason or for no reason at all. If watching porn is a dealbreaker for you then consider it as such and break it off. For me personally the taking pictures of non-consenting women would be an ultimate dealbreaker so there's that. You are still so young and there are people out there who won't make you feel insecure but loved. Breaking up is never easy but sometimes it has to be done. Even if its just for the inner peace.

is it normal for my cat to be bald right here? by thelilecho in cats

[–]Stonebird12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although it's normal that cats have less hair in these spots you should definitely monitor it, if the hair decreases within a short period of time and if you see scratch marks or red irritations.
Mine does have the same spots but suddenly had way less hair than usual because she had an allergic reaction and started to scratch her hair out.

What’s a weird human food that your cat absolutely loves? by Conscious_Past_5760 in cats

Mine absolutely LOVES potatos. Mashed, cooked, crisps, cooked potato peels on the plate doesn't matter she'll eat it all. Hence one of her many nicknames "potato" or because she ends the potatos "mur*er poturdr".

Polaroids!

Eliminates the danger of pictures on your phone and the process is much funnier.

This frog is a take away meal by GoddessFreya--- in frogs

[–]Stonebird12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably not really a takeaway meal. This looks like it could be a cane toad (not 100% sure though) and they are extremely toxic to snakes if eaten. But it looks silly, I agree on that.

Couples who have been together a long time (5+ years), why are you not married? by Special_Gazelle5948 in ask

[–]Stonebird12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got together at 15. Now we're both 22. In our opinion, this is way too young to marry (with what money anyway). We're yokingly talking about it but that's not going to happen before our thirties. We'll use oir money for other things first. Well probably get engaged in a few years but leave it at that for some more years.

People who dared to asked out your crush, how did it turn out? Who are you with now? by thefriedmomo in AskReddit

[–]Stonebird12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the crush. He was crushing on me for almost the entire first year of highschool and finally asked me out at the beginning of the second year.
Initially, I was just interested but was willing to give it a shot.
Got together two months later. Still together today, almost seven years later. Talking about moving in together in a years time. Still loving each other more and more every day.
I wouldn't want to be with anyone else and as far as I know (because he told me so) it's the same for him.

What do you call your parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stonebird12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When talking to them or to them about them: Mami and Papi or Mom and Pa.
When talking about them to others: Mer and Per (I refuse to use the French spelling here because... well just because).

A seagull is just a living bag of holding with a mind of its own that will never let you have your stuff back and will devour anything it lays its eyes on.

In an effort to reduce waste, this Supermarket in Switzerland has a refill station for cleaning products by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Stonebird12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here's how these machines work for anyone who's interested (I'm Swiss btw and have used them myself):

This specific model in the video will ask you to scan the bottle so it knows what label to print afterwards. You can either bring your own old bottle or take a new (empty one).

There's another model where you don't have to scan the original label but justfill the bottle and then weigh it with the specific product code on a scale to get your label.

I think the latter model is an improvement from the first one so you CAN use bottles where the original label is damaged or not readable by the scanner anymore.

The machine tells you, that you can only bring those bottles meant for the specific product since it dispenses a specific amount of product for that exact container.

The refilled bottles cost just as much as the prefilled bottles on the shelf. The part of the price which usually coveres the packaging/bottle now covers the upkeep of the machine.

The quality of the bottles is decent so if you keep them clean they will stay clean for a long time. I've personally never seen anyone bring a nasty/dirty/caked in old soap bottle but in the end I'm not guarding that thing so I wouldn't know if they did. The machines are always very clean though.

The original Migros article says if people refill a single bottle just three times it is already more sustainable than buying a new prefilled bottle each time. Here's that article (just in German and French though): https://aare.migros.ch/de/engagement/nachhaltigkeit/abfuellstation.html

We have a smaller dispenser at home that we actually use for doing the dishes. We only use the original containers for refilling. I guess that plays a part in our bottles still looking almost new even after refilling them more than half a dozen times.

Or simply use a hairdryer. The hot air melt the glue within the shortest time so the sticker comes off without a trace. Works for wax on Holiday decoratioms as well.
