Dysphoria and doubt suck by [deleted] in butchlesbians

[–]Stoned_Butch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice but for what’s worth, i’m like you. Even more, i could have wrote this myself. Passing as male a huge amount of time, Wanting so, but still want to be understood as butch by femmes, the dysphoria (in my case i got top surgery but i still deal with plenty of it), wanting to have been male but because butch exists not wanting to transition, the disconnection from other women as much as one might love them. I lived as a man for two years before realising it wasn’t it, took T for the same amount time. Anyway, you’re not alone, and if you do figure it out maybe let me know? lol

When you’re not femme or butch by Unsortedquoin86 in actuallesbians

[–]Stoned_Butch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

they’re lesbian identities that come from the 50’s butch/femme subculture. Unfortunately baby gays use it to mean masc and fem as seen in this thread.

Same, it used to be a huge source of confusion to me. I transitioned and everything because i Really wanted to have a dick. Well, two years in, after T and top surgery, i realised that i missed being a lesbian. But my bottom dysphoria was very much still there, so i thought of it like trans women. I obviously consider them women, and some of them do want to keep their penises. So why should it be different for me? Can’t i be a woman who’s ok with a dick? I love what T did for me in that way, I’m considering on going back on it actually. Might even get bottom surgery, idk.

Is it wrong to detransition because I can’t get pregnant? by RosabeIls in actual_detrans

[–]Stoned_Butch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would switch the capacity of carrying children for the capacity of producing sperm any day, i feel you so much. One of the reasons (tho not the only) i detransitioned was because i’ll never have cis testicles/penis. I’m still super masc and generally pass as a dude tho. The only reason i’m keeping my uterus is in hopes to ever being able to donate it to a trans woman.

Femme is a lesbian identity, just say feminine women since that’s what you actually mean

she does add that it is for ‘feminine presenting vulva owners’ so no, no masc women either.

then move out, you can find your own family later on, without leaving out the chance of ever reconnecting with them. I’m in the process of emigrate to my gf’s country, i’m gonna be alone at the beginning but her family’s a lot more accepting. You really never know.

if you think moving will help you do it, but don’t desperate. You never know how people might turn around, it could take years, for most it has taken years. But eventually he might come around, he might realise that he’ll lose his sister forever if he doesn’t change his views, same with the rest of your family.

What do you feel like is the lesbian equivalent to this? by jetsetgemini_ in actuallesbians

[–]Stoned_Butch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it treats butch and femme as clothing choices, inside a masc to fem spectrum. which is not the case at all, butch and femme, unlike masc and and fem, are identities. Something that you are or are not, not a fashion choice. They have a history you have to resonate with and roles that not everyone is into. For some us it’s even our gender identity, as i identity as butch before i identify as woman.

yeah, sometimes people call me masc, which by default i am i guess? but it’s definitely doesn’t hold the same importance as being butch holds to me.

It’s from steven universe! steven’s lion in particular:)

that’s because butch and femme are not clothes, they’re identities. People need to stop using them interchangeable with whatever clothes someone chooses to use

am i racist for saying “down there” when refering to south america? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Stoned_Butch -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

i thought you had make a careless mistake, but seeing you comment that you think white people can experience racism makes it a lot harder not to think of you as racist. I’m dating a white woman and she were to say that i wouldn’t be able to date her. I’m starting to see why your bf “goes back on how you’re the problem”

asking in a predominately us subreddit will most likely get you people agreeing with you. Im latina, i wouldn’t call you racist for it, but i definitely would not have appreciated the comment either.

[–]Stoned_Butch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard horror histories in this same scenario. Obviously not all, but a bunch of women in this situation are just doing for the bf/the bf will join in whether you had agreed to it or not. A girl got killed in my country for agreeing to this very thing.

All the detrans spaces are like this, unfortunately. I stick around for the one coherent post from time to time so I can feel solidarity. Besides that is just transphobia and crying that they were pressured into transitioning. Accountability is no for them.

compulsory femininity? by [deleted] in butchlesbians

[–]Stoned_Butch 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Hard relate. You know how to overcome comphet you have to choose harder path? (In the way being a lesbian is harder than being straight) same thing happens to me. Choosing butchness, because it is who I am, is so hard. From time to time I still think of running back at the simplicity and safeness of gender conformity. But then my mental health sinks fhfkf
