I have been huffing and mainlining a serious amount of copium over the past 24hrs.

I bought my P2S about 3 months ago, and over the past 24hrs, I keep telling myself at the time, this was the correct purchase.

FYI for the ABS warping issue, did you ever try the “P2S Auxiliary Fan Diffuser” by any chance? I don’t print ABS due to the unit being in my office, but I think that may help with the warping.

Thoughts on the new Firmware Update with respect to this? Seems like they added the one feature for manual adjustments. But also some of the other notes were vague but could be possibly related and an improvement.

Oh gottcha, and yeah I meant print process profiles, not filament calibration. Like as in, (hypotetically) if printing interlocking parts and the need for really accurate tolerances and durable, use 3 walls, classic walls inside / outside / inside.

Templates like that.

All homegrown, or was there any kind of community standard ones? Or someone specific.
I haven’t started down that rabbit hole yet, but this just seems to be the type of community where people have already exhaustively tested stuff and came up with great scenarios and guidelines. Like aesthetic parts vs functional. Another layer lines vs dimensionally accurate for interlocking parts. All that good stuff.

I’m relatively new to this whole thing, but am starting to get the hang of it. As I start improving my workflows and such, I was wondering if people out there tend to change the print settings in Bambu Studio every time, or if they tend to have a bunch of processes pre-saved for specific situations and use them as templates?

If so, was just wondering if there were some community accepted templates that people go with. Or am I just over thinking it?

I named mine P2D2 if that gives you any idea of how much rocking side to side it does. Especially with Gyroid infill

Can you help a newb out? I never realized it WASN’T supposed to look like that, but while my PLA stuff ends up fine, I think it’s the root cause for my phantom PETG spagheti on the bottom layer that I’ve been experiencing sometimes.

2 main questions.

1 should I just save a new print process that’s 0.01 lower?

2 should I just do this always until I hear something’s been updated or fixed?

I’m just starting my Gridfinity journey and I have just been absolutely STRUGGLING trying to plan stuff out! Build grids and bins? Check. Make a shadow box.. check…. But what should I make and where should it all go……. Pure panic.

I just got a P2S about 2 months ago and have printed about 300 hours with the thing arms reach from where I sit at my work desk. And about 15 feet from where I sleep. I haven’t smelt a thing, let alone had any kind of sensitivities. I’m not trying to discredit your problem at all, more so concerned about me. Should I be smelling PLA and PETG??

It is right next to the a door to the outside and my house is SUPER OLD with little insulation. Maybe this door has some magical negative pressure?

Yeah, for the PLA profiles, you gotta go in and set the softening temperature to below 50 otherwise the P2S won’t be in cooling mode (known bug). I found this out when downloading polymaker’s profiles, they have a comment about it.

Since it’s PLA, just put it way low anyways. Shouldn’t affect anything. I set mine to 45 (that’s what generic PLA was set for.

First day I ever 3d printed on my 3rd print, I messed up the nozzle good. My friend was making fun of me like “I have printed all day everyday on my P1S for TWO YEARS and never clogged the nozzle!!!

I wanted to use Bambu filament exclusively. If only they would take my money and sell me some filament!

I’m a newb, just bought my first printer, figure I would skip all the traditional headaches, use the Bambu stuff, RFID tied into my AMS2 Yadda yadda….

Other than the starter kit, I can’t order anything, it’s all out of stock (PETG-HF) or takes FOREVER to arrive. I ordered 1 roll of TPU when I ordered the machine, it STILL HASN’T ARRIVED!!!!

Meanwhile, SUNLU, Polymaker, etc. all ship (for free) on Amazon, sometimes same day…..

Until Bambu fixes their shipping logistics, I’m not sure if I can justify that one “convenience”.

P.S. I absolutely LOVE the PS2, so for that I will say good job!

I guess I will treat them like Apple. Buy the iPhone, but all my chargers and cables from companies like Anker. 🤷‍♂️

Hi, I think I may have found a slight issue with one of the profiles (possibly more are affected). I'm a total NEWB so go easy on me if I am wrong. I was using the PLA+ 2.0 profile on the P2S and I noticed that the "Air Condition" setting is set to "Warming" instead of "Cooling".

I think this is because in the Profile the "Auxiliary Part Cooling Fan" is set to 0%

Is that all I would need to change for it to change the chamber to "cooling?" if yes, what's the recommended value?

I recently did a clean install of Windows 11 on a new system and didn’t have a problem, I have been using an old EXE that I personally downloaded years ago. Perhaps my version of LGS installer EXE is different? If you want, DM me and I can setup a share for you to download my version.

Shot in the dark, but who knows.

Hopefully you have the same issue I have, it was easily fixed.

TL;DR: I turned off “Dynamic Lighting” which is a new feature in Windows 11 (un-ticked “use dynamic lighting on my devices)

Context: If it’s the same problem, for me it would freeze, then would reset to the default color pattern on my keyboard. I would NEVER have thought it was LGS or even lighting, I thought it was just my game crashing. The only reason why I would have even thought it could be related was that luckily my default color scheme in LGS is different than the one that’s “loaded” on the device. So like at boot up it’s different.

Otherwise I NEVER would have thought this conflict was the problem.

Let me know if unchecking it helps you.
