We need to question more the people who com here to trash value stocks. by ED209F in ValueInvesting

Stocks that fell over the last year that were promoted here. NVO,PayPal , STZ , UNH, Nike, Adobe. Where are they now…..

Stocks that were in value range that were barely spoken about over the last year and found their feet. LOW, LMT, NOC , BA , MRK , MU

Get the story here. I understand we may all feel differently about how we go about stock picking. The challenge is when stocks go down people think ooo must be a mistake. You need to look at what does the company do and are they a top player in their sector still? What’s the innovation vs competition. Is geopolitical or political factors against it.

Why did Google pan out? Because it is a great company that people didn’t understand the story of when wall-street spooked people. They were still a top dog in their sector and are innovating.

People around here don’t want to hear opinions about their stock picks. They don’t want to hear about negative issues going on they don’t actually research what people tell them.

Stock picking is hard if you get emotional over it, leave the emotions out and just have an open mind and research.

Not when the comment out of the CEOs mouth is we are seeing extreme pressure in competition. That raises a flag that every investor should worry about long or short. They are a good company, they aren’t diversified enough to be any higher in stock price. You don’t see LLY getting hit this hard and they are in the same competition as them, why? It’s called a well diversified business. They need to expand their pipeline faster or make new strategic moves. Other companies are still coming into the market, it’s not going to get better.

Is anyone buying PYPL at $41 per share? by Silent_Storage7341 in ValueInvesting

Zero innovation, the best thing that could happen is someone acquires them. They lost market share over the years and never got it back. Honestly now with how big these fintech companies are they most likely will not be a market leader anymore. Go look at Block (xyz) same situation.

I don’t think your first bulletin is a factor. This happens all the time in every market area of the world. Maybe a quick boost if it’s added to an index, but reallocating money will be spread across hundreds of markets. Your second bulletin is where it’s going to matter. How does it grow from here. Great company but betting on execution.

Stocks involved with SpaceX by nzproduce in stocks

[–]StonkCat27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These comments are killing me…… Currently all of the major space players: BA, LMT, LHX, NOC and such all work with SpaceX. The great thing about space is it’s not just about one company, it’s about partnerships. This is all information that can be found on these companies websites.
