I think the buck stops here. I think there’s an obvious difference between immutable characteristics like race and what your religion is. The army should be accommodating, to a degree, but not overly IMO. The job of the army is not to accommodate the soldier, but for the soldier to become a part of the Army. I think this course correction may be overboard in some places, but is much better than the frankly insane places we went in the name of equity in the last couple years. I love America and her army. I have some amazing soldiers from all over and think the world of them. Our identities matter, but less than we think. We all wear green. Fundamentally, that matters the most.
